Reviews
It’s an ideal spot for dining out with friends, family, or colleagues—great food paired with relaxed conversations makes the experience even better. The flavors are authentic and satisfying, making every dish enjoyable.
While it is on the pricier side, the generous portion sizes easily serve two to three people, making it truly worth the spend. A delightful place for both taste and ambiance! ️
There food is amazing. My personal favorite items are:
1) Tom Yum Soup: Its really flavorful…packed with herb and spices…this soup will cure your cold…each spoonful is a warm hug in a rainy/cold weather. Chicken or prawn optiin both are great.
2) Prawn Cake: If you like prawn..you can choose it…a must try item..its crunchy and spongy as well..really flavorful. Try with the sweet honey sauce
3) Fried Rice: their all fried rice is great…my personal fav is egg fried rice as it does not over power the gravy and sauce dishes.
4) Chicken green curry: Its like a korma with thai flavor…a must try item
5) Beef with basil leaf: Basil leaf is an important element to thai food…the aroma of the herb enriches the flavor. So a must try item.
Their satay, dumpling and other dishes are great. The chicken cashew nut salad is a must try item.
The fish cake was flavorful with a nice texture, not too oily, and paired well with the dipping sauce. The seafood salad was fresh and zesty, with just the right amount of heat and a generous portion of shrimp and squid. But the highlight for me was the tom kha soup — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced between tangy and savory. A definite comfort dish!
Service was attentive and friendly, and the food came out quickly. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for authentic Thai flavors in Uttara.
What truly sets Thai Emerald apart is its ability to deliver authentic flavors at reasonable prices, especially when compared to other upscale restaurants in the area. Some of my all-time favorites include the Morning Glory, the perfectly balanced Tom Yum Soup, and the Steamed Whole Snapper with Lemon, Chili & Garlic Sauce—a dish that’s as vibrant in taste as it is in presentation. Their Chicken Green Curry is rich and comforting, offering just the right blend of spice and creaminess.
And no meal here is complete without their signature dessert: the Coconut Ice Cream. It’s a must-try that perfectly rounds off the experience.
If you’re looking for reliable, flavorful Thai cuisine in Uttara, Thai Emerald continues to be a standout choice.

Very calm place with duplex and two stairs sitting area. Their interior make the place more attractive.
I have not one bad thing to say about the selection, and the “Fried Snapper with sweet Soy Sauce” was a particular highlight.
