Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Oh, one word of wisdom. We asked for medium spice. It made me sweat pretty good. So, if you’re not into spice you might ask for ‘no spice’ or ‘mild’.
You know when the food is so hot you sweat a bit and your eyes go a bit red, but it’s sooooo good you just can’t stop eating it? That about sums up the curry dish I devoured. It was great!
Delicious meal. Will be back!
I ordered a simple Pad Tai medium spice with tofu. The young man told me that it’s 4 to 6 out of 10 spicy. It was not, it was around a 5 out of 10 spicy for the medium.
I ordered a diet coke in a bottle, I forgot to take it from the cooler, and the man came out and handed me the diet Coke, how considerate.
When the dish came out he gave me both American eating utensils, and chopsticks with plenty of napkins as he lied about the spice I mentioned earlier.
Remember I said I ordered a simple Pad Tai? Yeah so he made it look fancy.
Told me the food would take about 10 minutes, with no one there it took about 7 minutes.
Lastly, I don’t like that this is a smaller restaurant, it should be larger.
In conclusion don’t take your girlfriend or boyfriend here, as if you were to break up then you can’t eat here because you’d remember them. Instead come with the boys or with your girls, or even the family to overcome this potential issue of yours.
Thank you for the meal I’m from Michigan so go blue but if I was around I would eat here again or take out.
And taro bubble tea and Thai ice tea (both good; the bubbles in the bubble tea were inconsistently cooked but still good)
Overall, would definitely come back. The pricing is good, I like that you can customize your spice levels and which meat you want on each dish. Everything was prepared quickly and when they realized they forgot to add something to the bag they called back immediately and we were able to circle back and get it. The appetizers were generally good although I wish the fried tofu itself had more flavor, rather than being just tofu that’s fried. But again, overall would definitely try more on the menu and reorder some of the stuff I tried this time!
Well, Thai Dynamite changed everything for me. The spice levels are actually real. You will sweat, your nose will run, your face might even numb a little if you go Spicy or Thai Spicy. But it’s not a gimmick, and it’s surely not the only selling point. The flavor is rich and the ingredients seem really good quality. The egg and beef are perfect. The heat only intensifies and enhances these special ingredients and recipes.
The pad Thai is absolute classic and one of the best I’ve ever had. The pok tak soup is a miracle: the mushrooms, the basil… The spring rolls are so solid.
If I might make a suggestion for ordering: Save the higher spice levels for the entree and go lower on the soup. For example, tonight I got a mild pok tak and a Thai Spicy pad Thai. It’s a lot of heat and the mild with the soup is actually pretty decent because there’s nothing to soak it up. Paired with the entree, it seemed even hotter. For me, it was a perfect experience. For the average person, it could be a nightmare. So just be careful and respect the heat.
If you’re someone who’s accustomed to ordering hotter food, it’s probably still worth working up to the higher heat levels here instead of going all in on your first visit. You might be surprised. A legit Thai medium is actually hotter than most places’ hottest.
