Modest little spot for classic Thai cooking with locally sourced ingredients & varying spice levels.

I absolutely love this place for its Thai food options. Today, I ordered the green curry with eggplant and chicken, as well as a salad with chicken and shrimp, topped with mango.
The eggplant in the curry was saturated in vegetable oil, which was quite noticeable, but the rest of the dish was absolutely delicious. The customer service was also great.

We have tried this restaurant during our visit to Oregon. Our order was taken with utmost care and they were able to accommodate vegan versions for all the items we have ordered. Their peanut sauce portion for fresh veggie spring rolls is very generous and their Thai fried rice, Tom yum soup and papaya salad are very delicious.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff, clean. The food was excellent although the carrots in the curry tasted earthy and unpeeled. Pity, as it’s my only criticism from an otherwise great meal. I’d have given 4.5 stars if Google allowed that. We’d come again, definitely.

This place took us by surprise. great authentic Thai food. I had the duck roast curry and my bf had the beef pad wood sen. Both were full of flavor and tasty. Portions are big and you’ll be full. Place is quiet and was mostly empty, you could see the revolving door of take out happening, and it was nice to sit in a quiet place and enjoy our dinner. Definitely recommend.

Excellent food, great flavors, We started with the chicken satay. Then the duck red curry was amazing. The tom yum seafood blend soup was good. And the beef stir fry was great. All the portions were great in size. Will definitely return. Thank you, Jose, for your service.

Thai Carnation is easily hands down my favorite Thai food around. Every single time the food is fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection. All the flavors are bright, you can tell they truly care about the ingredients they use. The service is always kind and attentive. We’ve never been disappointed! Thai Carnation is a staple.

Attentive, friendly staff, clean establishment. The peanut lovers dish was amazing, and for an appetizer, I definitely recommend the crab puffs!! Best I’ve had. Will be returning at some point. Thanks for the great dinner 🙂

First time here. The food is good, could be better, but it’s good enough. I guess it just does not have that authenticity or originality that I look for when I go to any Asian restaurant. It’s worth trying again though, and order other dishes. So far, I like the Seafood Pik pow and the Eggplant stir-fry. My husband likes the Yakisoba noodles stir-fry. The wonton soup is bland, and they used different kind of wontons. The Lemongrass chicken, not my favorite.

Thai Carnation is a great restaurant that offers delicious and authentic Thai cuisine. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the service is always friendly and attentive. The menu has a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including classic favorites like Pad Thai and Panang Curry, as well as some unique dishes that you won’t find at other Thai restaurants.
The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the portions are generous. Whether you’re in the mood for something spicy or something mild, there’s something for everyone on the menu including Gluten Free, Vegetarian, and Vegan options. Some of my personal favorites include the Sweet Basil Stir-Fry, the Crab Fried Rice, the Drunken Noodles, and appetizers such as Coconut Prawns and Salt & Pepper Calamari.
Overall, Thai Carnation is a great choice for anyone looking for delicious Thai food in the Troutdale area. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and the quality of the food is excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying meal.

Fresh delicious food, quick service and lively Thai music atmosphere.
Shrimp chicken Khao suey ❤️ was the best. Ultimate soul touching dish with delicious broth topped with crispy noodles!
Thai basil fried rice and Pad see ew noodles was the next best.
The yellow Thai veggie curry was okay, so were the fish cutlets. The curry is served with plain white rice which is freshly prepped and perfectly cooked. Too much tofu chunks in both the dishes though!
Thumbs up for this beautiful restaurant. Loved the Khao suey… I’ll definitely revisit the next time I visit Portland.
