The food was very disappointing, but the service was good. Maybe the service was good because I went on July 4th and there were only two other tables there for lunch. Back to the food quality, the sticky rice was not cooked enough and was still very hard. I had ordered two servings of sticky rice and two mango and sweet sticky rice, but had to toss them all because it was so hard and under cooked. I also ordered Pad Thai, Angle wings, and papaya salad. The papaya salad was ok, it was not crunchy and should have been. The angel Wings were breaded and fried which is not how it’s normally prepared. The pad Thai is definitely not authentic Thai. If you are looking for authentic Thai food, I would not recommend this restaurant. I also had the spring rolls and they were acceptable, but the sauces could improve a lot.

Absolutely delicious food and great service. Our water glasses were always full. I had the Thai pasta and he had the sweet and sour with chicken. Great price for the awesome quality and flavor. Will definitely be stopping here again as we travel through Redding.

Good food, really nice man and his wife running the place, simple hole in the wall with great atmosphere, Thai/Asian American style food. For Redding I definitely recommend. Still wish there was an authentic Thai restaurant up here

This is a one man show. He takes your order, cooks your food, serves you and buses the table. Excellent prices. Very clean. Parking can be difficult but I’ve always found a spot.

Our favorite Thai Restaurant! Great food! It’s owned by a husband and wife team. The wife does a masterful job in the kitchen, getting your desired “heat” perfect. The husband is typically your server and should be very proud of what he and his wife have created. We have been eating here for almost 30 years. If you like Thai food, try it!

I was staying at the hotel across the bridge and this place was close, and reviews were decent.
Got the chicken pad Thai, papaya salad, and some fried egg rolls, for pick up.
When I picked it up, service was great.
I’d asked for very spicy on both the salad and pad Thai. They were both mild. Strike one.
Unfortunately, Pad Thai was nothing to talk about: dry noodles with some spices. Strike two. The papaya salad was horrible, looked old rather than crispy and fresh, and tasted like an old sock smells, took one bite, and had to toss it. Strike three.
Egg rolls were, well, egg rolls.
Obviously I’m not making a second visit. Bummer. I really wanted to like this place.

If you have never had the evil prince dish here you need to try it big time! The lunch prices is great in my opinion for the quality you get. Authentic Thai food here. You have choices of curry types too.

I have been coming here with my family ever since I was a young man, fantastic food, great local family business. The Evil Prince extra spicy, can’t lose.

Nice, little Thai restaurant. Got take out and service was quick and friendly.
Got the pad Thai, yellow curry, and red curry. Pad Thai was good, but nothing special. Yellow curry has a great flavor and the red curry has a mild spice to it. I would recommend both.
A comment I’ll make about the rice is that it’s sticky rice, which was good, but unexpected.
Prices were high compared to other Thai places in town and serving sizes were smaller. Probably not a place I’ll frequent because of those two things, but it was definitely worth going to try out.

Thai Cafe of Redding is GREAT! So far, everything I’ve tried is fresh and tasty. The ingredients in each dish are high quality, and you can savor the authentic flavors. The vibrant herbs, aromatic spices, and perfectly cooked proteins combined to create a memorable culinary journey.
For those who appreciate a little heat, the extra-spicy options are a must-try. The chefs at Thai Cafe know how to balance heat with flavor, ensuring each bite is an explosion of taste. Whether it’s a spicy curry or a fiery stir-fry, the extra spicy offerings are a real treat for the taste buds.
If you like fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of spicy Thai cuisine, Thai Cafe of Redding is the place to be.
