We ordered from here this week, and I have never had such bad food at a Thai restaurant. We ordered vegetarian dumplings that were cold, tasteless and pork much to the horror of the vegetarian that bit into it. The soup was thin and tasteless, the rice and chicken was a glob of absolutely bland rice and chicken with no flavor and inedible. The sweet and sour pork had pork floating around a few vegetables in what looked like thin soup. It was absolutely awful. Never again.

Thai Cafe serves delicious Thai food. I recommend the Pad Thai.

Chicken pad Thai is almost all noodles with very little vegetables or chicken and the sauce doesn’t taste right. It’s nothing like most of the food looks in the pictures. Also for takeout the bags were loaded so that if you picked it up by the handles it would spill. So be sure to pick up the food carefully if you do takeout.

I have eaten here 4 times with 2 other people. I am a fan of Thai food. I have 2 great Thai restaurants in TX where I live And Thai Cafe is comparable. We ate here for lunch and the soup was only Ok as it was not one of my favorite Thai soups. I enjoyed my red curry dish and my friend enjoyed her vegetarian pad thai, although she thought that the broccoli was not cooked enough.

Other than having to wait around 5 min for someone to seat me I had a great experience. The decor was semi lacking, but it was to be expected, as most of the authentic Asian restaurants I visit aren’t the best decorated. I ordered the red curry and it was awesome! Packed full of flavor and served with he perfect portion of rice. Service was very attentive. I would visit again.

This is the first time trying Thai Cafe, and I can only rate the food because dining inside is still prohibited due to COVID-19. I ordered chicken pad Thai and was not impressed. The dish had very little flavor, had no spice whatsoever and was on the dry side. When ordering, no one asked me what level of spice I desired either. I may go back once restaurant operations return to normal in hopes that my experience was due to a substitute chef.

Our family loves this place. Best Thai in town. We used to live nearby but now we drive across town for it. Owner is a great guy and we always have a nice time. Spring rolls are great and so is the Pineapple Curry.

I like this place. The Thai food is served with a kick! I also appreciate that they don’t make the food to sweet. I had the coconut chicken soup, and yellow curry with chicken. Not the best I’ve ever had but still pretty good.

TL;DR: Communication is KEY! Tell us that the curry is going to take a long time & that we may order it if we are ok with that, or we could choose a different entree. Problem. Solved.

Let me start off by saying that our experience tonight is NOT the norm. We usually have a pleasant dinner that goes smoothly. However, I felt the need to share our experience tonight because it was ridiculous. That sad thing is, the issue could have been resolved instantly, before anything ever even arose. My husband ordered green curry, I ordered soup & pad see yew. We chatted for awhile when we realized it had been nearly 20 minutes & I didn’t have my soup. Then, we started paying attention, & noticed that tables that had arrived after us were receiving their food. My soup arrived & the waitress said, “sorry, we’re behind.” We were not in a hurry, so we weren’t troubled, & we figured that our entrees would surely be right behind, as everyone else had their food. That was not the case. Finally, my entree arrived, but the waitress only had a plate of rice for my husband. She stated that two cooks called in. We were beginning to become frustrated, but we were polite. How much longer could it be, we thought. Long. The owner eventually came to our area, but began apologizing to a different couple, who had food (and had sat down long after we had arrived). I spoke up, & said, “sir, I believe you’re supposed to be speaking to us.” He turned around and said that there was a problem with the curry, but that it would be out soon. After we had been there an hour, my husband went up to the owner & asked him to cancel the green curry. We finished up my entree, & went to checkout. We were very upset. The waitress approached us & gave us the green curry to go. She stated that there was no charge for the curry. Darn right. She mentioned that the lady who does the curry was not there tonight. My husband, flabbergasted, stated that if she had simply mentioned this as he was ordering, he would have gladly ordered something else. My husband gave her a tip for my entree & we left, extremely frustrated.

This was my second time dining here, and I love the vegetable Pad Thai.I also love that a 2 on the spice spectrum is spicier than 2s at other Thai restaurants. Service is always friendly and quick. I will come back.
