This is my favorite location to get fresh, authentic thai food.

I used to go to the Durham location weekly for 10+ years. When I moved to the Raleigh/Wake Forest area a few years ago, I was so excited to try out their Wake Forest location! And was not disappointed.

All of the food is just as good if not better. It’s consistently fresh, good portions for the price, and I’ve not had one thing from the menu that wasn’t tasty. The staff is always super friendly and able to make recommendations if you ask.

They also have BOGO sushi and really nice cocktails. Even when I’ve ordered the sushi or other food as take out or delivery, you can always tell it’s made fresh to order and packaged with care.

I’ve probably tried everything on the menu at least once, but my go-to’s are their spicy papaya salad, coconut soup with shrimp or tofu, nam tok beef, crab angels, and drunken noodles. Their housemade coconut cake and thai iced tea are heavenly if you want a sweet treat too.

I wish I could eat here everyday. Definitely perfect for a date night or a casual night out just enjoying a good meal. But as always, only way to know for sure is to check it out for yourself!

We just ate dinner at one of my favorite Thai restaurants. I’ve been eating at the Thai Cafe in Wake Forest for almost eight years. My go to appetizer is basil rolls with the yummy peanut sauce. The basil and shrimp combo is such a refreshing burst in your mouth. I also enjoyed a Thai Iced tea with my meal. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and my boyfriend had a special Pork Drunken Noodle entree. To finish off our meal, we split a piece of delicious coconut cake.

The new owners are bringing the Thai experience to Wake Forest. The restaurant was decorated for the holidays and very welcoming. The server was very friendly and awesome. I’m looking forward to my next Thai eating experience there again.

I absolutely loved this crab fried rice! Everything about this dish was perfectly balanced — not too salty, not too oily, just the right flavor in every bite. The rice was cooked beautifully, and the seasoning was spot on. This is honestly one of the best fried rice dishes I’ve ever had. If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should — highly recommended!

All the food we ordered was well below subpar (three entrees, fresh spring rolls, a salad, and a dessert). For Pho, don’t bother, go to one of the authentic places and yes, trek to it the few extra miles – this will not satisfy your craving and like myself, you probably won’t be able to take a second bite. Pad Thai was well below average. The worst were the ‘fresh’ spring rolls which were a food safety concern: rolled them out of the cellophane where the rice paper was a bit slimy and proceeded to just fall apart and I was hit with a pungent fishy smell, like they had been wrapped at least a week before. And then I spotted the that the shrimp weren’t properly cleaned. My husband and I stopped eating and threw everything out. This was my first time ordering here and I won’t be returning. I don’t write many reviews but want to save others time/money because… enough of this subpar nonsense.

I used to really enjoy this restaurant but the cooking/seasoning is just not the same. Pad see eww is one of my favorite dishes and I hadn’t ordered it in a very long time bc the seasoning was nonexistent. I took a chance today since the Spicy Udon noodles were out of stock and it’s the absolute worst! Barely any seasoning, overcooked and super dry noodles and chewy beef. I would not recommend the Wake Forest location. Maybe other locations are better.

We have been to Thai Cafe a lot, but the new owner started carrying pho. I gave it a shot today and it was delicious. I’ve been to a dozen pho spots in the triangle and this one ranked up towards the top for sure! I’ll be back.

This is a great gem of Wake Forest. Nestled in a a corporate corner strip it services tons of apartment dwellers and single family homes near by.

The new owners have NC roots, but South East Asian culinary expertise! Their coconut cake was delicious (my daughter particularly enjoyed it) and I was served a unique spicy beef soup with noodles, white onions, scallions, cilantro, flavorful spices and tofu. The beef was cooked rare, so it would cook up in the hot broth and the texture of all of the different veggies made for an exciting meal that exceeded my expectations!

If you live in the Wake Forest area and you’ve not visited this spot…you’re missing out! Tell the owner (Jack) I sent you and enjoy!

I was looking forward to a tasty Thai meal, but my experience was disappointing. The flavors were good and the ambiance was nice, but I found several large pieces of eggshell in my rice, which was off-putting and unsafe to eat. I brought it to the manager’s attention, and they offered an apology. Overall, I’d like to see better kitchen hygiene and more proactive problem-solving from the staff.

I recently enjoyed the Spicy Basil meal at the Thai Cafe in Wake Forest, and it was a delightful experience. The dish perfectly balanced heat and flavor, leaving my taste buds tingling in the best way. I paired it with jasmine tea, which complemented the meal beautifully. The environment was chill, and the staff were friendly, providing great recommendations based on our tastes. Overall, a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine!

The Pho special was very good. We also had the pad won sen which was delicious.
The restaurant is under new ownership and the new owner came to our table and asked us if there was anything they could do better and she was delightful to talk to and really cared. The restaurant is very clean and very nice atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back soon! Highly recommended!
