This is my second time reviewing this restaurant, the first was about 4 years ago and I just want to say that they put something in this food because this is my weekly Splurge. I am GF and order the Thai fried rice with chicken for me and the Drunken Noodles dish for my partner (I have now gotten addicted to his Dish as well so the two mixed together are perfection.) I desperately want to try some of their other dishes but I am so stuck on these two right now hopefully I will have the money to venture out into other menu items. But the food is always great full of flavor I have never experienced any type of cross-contamination and I recommend so many people to this restaurant!

Fantastic Thai food find, right in the heart of downtown Durham. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed dinner. We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls for starters which were hot, crispy, and delicious. For mains, we got the tried and tested tofu pad Thai and yellow curry and both did not disappoint. Portion sizes are generous and prices are budget friendly. Highly recommend for your Asian food/noodle craving.

I had the chance to dine at this restaurant, and I was truly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and clearly made with care. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Even though they seemed to be short-staffed, they did their best to take care of every customer, even during the busy hours. I really appreciated their effort and attention to detail. Highly recommended!

The food was fantastic with a beautiful presentation. The fresh rolls were very mid, though. They weren’t the worst I’ve had but nowhere near good ones, so I wouldn’t order them again. I loved the number of duck dishes that they had on the menu as well as unique dishes that you never see in what I call an “American” Thai restaurant. If you are looking for authenticity, go here!
One very frustrating thing was that our server didn’t stay at our table long enough to take our order, and there were only two of us. She brought water to our table and then left. She came back to our table with food menus, and I had to stop her from leaving so that I could order my drink, but she walked away before my daughter could order her drink. When she brought my drink to the table, I had to stop her again so that I could order appetizers and my daughter could order a drink. Basically, it took 5 visits before we actually had our entire order placed.

All the flavors of Bankok without the ladyboys on scooters. Green Papaya salad was spot on, laarb was insane, tom ka gah very tasty. Obviously the spice levels were more suited to American pallets but I did my cleaning lady a favor and didn’t ask them to make it Thai spicy.

We recently dined at Thai@Main St. and were thoroughly impressed. We were the last din-in customers of a Sunday night and yet the service was exceptional, attentive and friendly staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was authentic and bursting with flavor; every dish was a perfect blend of spices and fresh ingredients. The prices are very reasonable, offering great value for the quality/quantity of the food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with cozy decor and a relaxing vibe that enhances the overall dining experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving delicious Thai cuisine!

I was greeted and seated right away. Servers are friendly and helpful. Food is fresh and super flavorful. I will come back again. I wanted eggplant instead of meat, but they had run out, so I settled for tofu. And I ordered something marked as spicy, but it didn’t have any kick to it at all. That was the only disappointing thing. But the flavors were still very good.

Stopped here for lunch and ended up getting their Grilled Chicken Special. It came with a side salad with peanut dressing that was simple, but tasty. They have alternate dressing if you’re allergic and they will ask to be sure from the beginning. The main dish was really good with a whole lot of chicken that was cooked perfectly. Nice and charred on the outside and flavorful and juicy on the inside. It came with a sweet chili dipping sauce on the side. It was a very healthy lunch packed with flavor that contrasted well with the plain rice and steamed broccoli.

The service was super friendly and attentive as well. The interior is nice with Thai decor and very clean. Definitely recommend this place for lunch!

I was excited to try it because the restaurant looks busy often enough.
Maybe my experience was a one-off…

We ordered drunken noodles and two orders of dumplings. Im glad we didnt order more food. The dumplings came in and looked like almost burned balls of dough. I dipped one in the sweet sauce that came with it and something about it tasted like dirty dish water. It smelled like it too. We deducted it was mostly the sauce that tasted like that. The dumplings, which was just a meatballs in dumpling wrap, still had a slight dirty water aftertaste. We then got the beef drunken noodles and it looked decent! Before taking a bite I could smell something like burnt animal fur. My first bite was very disappointing. It tasted worse than it smelled. I kept taking small bites of different vegetables. Everything smelled and tasted similarly, all had a nasty burnt ransid animal smell covered in a sweet sauce. I took a final bite of everything together and just couldn’t swallow it and had to spit it out, it was so bad and unsettling. We left it all there, things tasted very very wrong and even unsafe. The thai beers were good though and so was the service.
