I wish I could give more stars. Such amazing good and even better customer service. The ribs were fall off the bone and those smoked wings (not pictured) SO GOOD. He gave us some homemade banana pudding which was to die for. He also gave my daughter 3 juices. Such a fun unexpected time. I’ll be dreaming about our food.

We got a togo plate of ribs, potatoe salad and creamed corn anf added a bannana pudding. Everything was exceptionally tasty. The ribs truelly fall off the bone. We will stop by on our way home and try the brisket amd baked beans which they were sold out of today. Wr may even get a photo if i can snap a picture before my husband devours the food

It doesn’t get much better than a delicious lunch, superb service, and southern hospitality at this locally owned eatery. The hours of operation begin at 9 am and continue until they run out of food, which is usually between 2 pm & 2:30 pm. Mr. Pete offers a great selection of meals that consists of pork, catfish, chicken wings, fried chicken, oxtails, pig feet, and more. My family and I enjoyed every crumb and the friendly conversation. We felt like part of their family and not patrons. Oh, don’t forget to sign the wall if you visit.

We didn’t eat here. We were traveling with a service animal and the owner requested that we not go inside, which was fine. But there was a few flies hanging out outside so we decided to go elsewhere. We initially drove past it and turned around to go back. It’s a large shack with a lot of character. You can’t get more local. The owner was super friendly and enjoyable to talk to. Even the business next door was friendly to us. Maybe some other road trip.

Tha BBQ Pit is a hidden gem worth seeking out. We had driven by many times and finally decided to check it out. Venturing inside, we found ample clean indoor seating that wasn’t easily visible from the street. The staff warmly welcomed us and were happy to answer any questions.
I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries, and both were delicious. The pork was perfectly smoked, tender and full of flavor. The generous portion of fries were hot, crispy and tasty. For the quality of the food and friendly service, Tha BBQ Pit is worth going a bit out of your way to visit. This local spot should be on every BBQ lover’s radar.

Stopped here for lunch…omg stop here pork was amazing! Portion huge taste was amazing price reasonable. Hard to eat it all in one meal! They have us pound cake that was yummie as well. If ur in the area stop here and eat! They smoke every day and the food was great…never had anything this good in Michigan !

Great BBQ, great service, cool spot. Id give this place 100 stars if I could. The owner recommended me the cheese burger, it had to have been at least a pound of ground beef, the thing was the size of my head and it tasted delicious, the meat was perfect, the sauce was perfect, the veggies were fresh, the flavor was beautifully balanced and the best part, IT WAS 14 BUCKS and that’s with a mountain of fries, a big drink and some delicious banana pudding. Absolutely loved it!! 100/10⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Enjoyed my lunch on the road. Couldn’t have picked a better place to stop. Amazing smoked chicken with sides and a piece of homemade pound cake to finish! Highly recommend!!
