I dropped by Texas Roadhouse to meet up with friends who had already ordered food, so I kept it simple and ordered drinks—three tap beers and a margarita on the rocks. What should’ve been a quick round turned into a 45-minute wait. When the server finally returned, she explained that someone had broken glass in the ice bin. That’s understandable for cocktails, and likely out of her control—but for beers that require no ice, the delay still felt excessive. From our table, the bar staff didn’t appear particularly rushed, which only added to the frustration.
When the drinks finally arrived, we received a frozen margarita instead of the one we requested on the rocks. The server said, “I thought you ordered that, but I was hoping it would be OK.” At that point, we just accepted it to avoid another delay.
Thankfully, the food delivered. The steaks were cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and exactly what you’d expect from a place known for its grill. The kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing.
All in all, the food was excellent, but the service—especially at the bar—needs tightening. While I don’t fault the server entirely for the delays, waiting an hour for basic drinks is hard to overlook. I’d return for the steaks, but I’d manage expectations when it comes to anything beyond the plate.

Two of us ordered ribeye steaks and they were delicious! Our server was wonderful, very attentive and friendly. She also did a fabulous job of keeping our bills separate!
Sorry I don’t remember her name but please thank her for us if you have a way of researching it.

We come here often. Have always LOVED the food but today was pretty terrible. We ordered medium for our steaks and 2 out of the 4 were more than well done. The 14oz ribeye was so thin and well done and just all inedible. Of course we will come back but hopefully they are more careful when picking the steaks and cooking before serving to customers.

I was so disappointed, I keep thinking about how I was treated and had to leave a review. I ordered a huge ribeye steak medium rare, I got it and it was purple on the inside. I brought this to our waitresses attention and she took the steak back, then a manager brought my steak back and it was the worst cut of meat I’ve ever had, it looked like they chose the worst steak for me, it was overcooked and the manager stood there while I looked at it, I got an attitude from her about how she wanted to “make sure it was right” and she stared at me while I cut into it. I had now waited an extra 20 minutes everyone was done eating and it was a 50 minute wait to be seated, I told her it was good and she left but it was clear from her attitude that me sending back my undercooked steak was an inconvenience to her. My friends filet mignon was also undercooked. I feel like the staff needs to be retrained on what medium rare is or they need to use tools to make sure it’s done right. I was mostly disappointed in the experience with the manager, our waitress was amazing and on point, which is why it’s 2 stars.

We had to wait an hour for the food, kids getting restless, and the meat was dry and the ribs over cooked. Our waitress was great and the Manager listened to our complaints and took one meal off. They are usually better but tonight was off.

My husband and I have been here many times, and every time we have a great experience. The food is always hot and flavorful, and service has always been great, even though they’re very busy. Great steak, of course, but this is also one of the few places you can get yummy breaded catfish. And everyone knows about the famous rolls. Highly recommend!

What a disappointment! We had an absolutely horrible experience here, other than our server. He tried, and he kept apologizing for everything else that went wrong, but one server can’t fix pathetic management. The food was just okay, but not worth the prices charged. We regularly get better elsewhere for less. Regarding this business accommodating handicapped persons. They just don’t. If anyone in your party uses any mobility aid, do not even consider coming here! Our group had 2 people in wheel chairs, and we were made an absolute spectacle of. Other diners near us were even apologizing and trying to be kind and help. Shameful treatment from management to say the least! We requested a table, and were stuck in a booth with a table at the end, blocking the aisle. Regarding a person in our party in a power chair, I was asked “Can’t she walk to get up into the booth?” Are you kidding me?!We waited nearly 2 hours to be seated after being told there was a 20 to 30 minute wait. Other parties of 6, like ours, actually came, ate, and left while we waited in the foyer. This was my first ever visit to this restaurant, and I normally don’t judge a place on one poor experience because bad days happen. But this was inexcusable! I do not ever plan to give this place another dollar of my business. They do not deserve it.

We have been going to this location since they first launched here in Tucson. This visit was our FIRST horrible experience. We called ahead to advise there are 10 of us. They took reservation and would not seat us till everyone arrived. Then we were led into the “South” room where we were seated at TWO TABLES across the room from each other! It was FREEZING in this room, like about 50°!!! The noise level was so bad that we had to shout to each other. We asked to be re seated at ONE table as this was our annual family get together. They told us that they only had 2 tables and those were full. They asked we wanted to wait we said yes. They had already served us rolls, butter and beverages. Another person comes over and tells us we had to get up and go wait back outside for our table!!! We told them “no”. This was their mistake and we had been served. About 10 minutes goes by and a different person (3rd person) comes and tells us to please take our silverware and beverages and follow her. Table is in the far back of restaurant but we were all together as a family. We advised that it would be one check. Server proceeds to get adult beverage orders taken. We were all ready to place our orders but she was not ready to do that. When she got drinks served she started taking orders. After FIVE rounds of rolls and butter at this new table, plates started to come out. She was unsure of where each order needed to go. The WORST part was the quality of the food. It was terrible. The green beans were soggy, not seasoned, cold and floating in water?? She kept bringing out sides that didn’t match anyone’s order. I woul not recommend this place to anyone. Who wants the music up so loud that you cannot chat with the person on either side? I would never suggest this location to groups over 4 people either. Sad to see it has really gone downhill.

Bread and butter. That butter is second to none.
Appetizers:
– Nacho Cheese Fries with bacon
The fires are light, crispy, and are not greasy. For nacho cheese has a good flavor and surprisingly not that greasy. The bacon was cooked well and wasn’t greasy either. I expected a lot of grease but there was little compared to the amount of food. Dipping them in ranch tasted good.
– Cactus Blossom
We have had a similar dish at other restaurants and they were super greasy, this was not. I really enjoyed this dish when dipped in ranch. It is good enough to be eaten without dipping.
Dinner:
– Side salad
I am not a fan of salads but the wife said it is one of the better side salads she had. They put more on it than just veggies.
– Beef fried steak
Love this. I had chicken fried steak but never a beef fried steak. Wow. I did mine differently. I had the gravy on the side so I can dip the pieces. I asked for a second cup of gravy because the steak flavor is strong compared to the gravy flavor.
– Loaded baked potato
This had the correct amount of cheese and bacon added. The baked potato is good by itself but the cheese and bacon do enhance the experience.
– Seasoned Rice
Love the rice. Nothing bad to say about it.
– Grilled chicken with sautéed mushrooms.
Omg. That flavor is delicious. This was my favorite dish for the meal. My wife ordered it but next time we go in going to get it.

We added our selfs to the wait list 3 people which includes a child and a high chair. After texting we were here We waited for 30 minutes to be seated which was fine not the problem. We finally got the text to go inside we got seated at the bar. We told the hostess we needed a table or both due the toddler we had with us, we were told it would be additional wait time. We walked out, we were going to wait an hour to eat, especially with a toddler. I’m upset which never happens. What’s the point of having a wait list with accommodations that includes a high chair options if the restaurant isn’t going to read it. What a wait of our time. I understand it was busy but l damn I guess your customers don’t really matter.
