***Update***
I’m not changing my review, because as you can tell from the photo, it’s honest, but they did send me a gift card for the value of the prime rib, after I posted the review. I may post another review later, but I was very disappointed in Texas Roadhouse for serving something like that, I’ve been a customer for over 10 years (not just in Houma) and yes, it’s the first time that’s happened.
***Update***
I visited the location today, as always, I ordered prime rib, much better than last time and I order apple pie as well. Everything was great, steak was perfectly cooked. I’ve changed my review because of this and the really quick service and courteous service at the pickup window. I’ve uploaded a new photo comparing the steak served today, with was much better.
It’s important that a menu accurately states the ingredients because of food allergies that exists. The salad menu apparently does not at this particular Roadhouse.
Last night, I had ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad and it was WONDERFUL. But it wasn’t until just now this morning while I’m eating my leftovers for breakfast, that I realized it also had carrots and purple cabbage in it which were NOT listed on the menu. — They did list, “crisp greens,” which purple cabbage can fall under that. — But the carrots can’t.
We have a lot of food allergies in our house and I’m not allergic to either of these (and as a matter of fact I LOVE carrots), but I’m concerned for people who may have an allergy to those foods because I understand how difficult it can be because we have food allergies.
When a restaurant uses a salad base, either the menu needs to list everything that’s in that salad base or the waitress needs to inform the people because of food allergies. — The waitress was GREAT in the sense that she asked if I could have everything on the salad whenever I ordered it, but I had NO IDEA that it had CARROTS and I assumed the greens didn’t include cabbage. How could I have told the waitress that I couldn’t have a particular thing in the salad if the menu didn’t list everything clearly? — The cabbage can be justified because it does fall under a leafy green, but not everybody thinks of it as a green because it can come in purple. But the carrots can’t be justified.
Just a warning to consumers who have a food allergies to be diligent at this location and a warning to restaurants to be careful when using a salad base on your salads because of food allergies.
I hope management sees this. — I probably won’t have the time to call them and make them realize the oversight.
Again the food, service, and atmosphere was great, but do be careful with food allergies if you have them and be diligent at this location.
We went on a sunday at night, I recommend reserved because is very full
We order the fried onion, rib eye, shrimps, hot dog, sweet potatoe, baked potatoes, cesar salad, ribs, fries, beer, dr pepper, lemonade, apple juice, bread.
Everything was delicious
I recommend a lot go there
One was medium rare, the other was medium. Both were incredibly hard to cut. Chewing them was even harder. My chili tasted like someone dumped a handful of salt in it.
We also ordered an appetizer to share. The combo. It was boneless chicken, potato skins, and fried pickles. The chicken was ok but cold, but the fried pickles & potato skins were cold & soaked in grease!
The only parts of our meal that were good was the mashed potato, her side of mushrooms, and her baked sweet potato.
We wasted $50 on this meal.
Not to mention, the last time we were there, we ate at the bar. My steak was almost ALL FAT. When I showed the waitress, she said I should’ve just picked my own from the meat window.
We are very disappointed and wont be going back.

The fried pickles were so much oil on them. The seats they got me in were terrible. The bread was burnt. They didn’t even give us peanuts on the table either or the bucket.
Our waitress sounded like a robot. She try to rushed us out the door with boxes. The chicken was so dry. The Mac and cheese tasted like out of a box. The parking lot was so packed.
They also charged me $2.00 for a game that I didn’t even play.
However, the service throughout the meal was very disappointing. My son ordered the same meal he always gets, but she told us they didn’t have that item—even though they do. We didn’t make an issue of it, as she said the menu has just undergone changes for the first time in 10 years.
What really affected the experience were the delays and mistakes that followed. I received my sides long before my actual meal, and by the time my food finally arrived, I had already finished the sides. We also had to ask more than once for the rolls, which are normally brought out automatically. When I reminded her, she handed us a basket of rolls that had already been given to another table and then returned. I even asked if they had touched them, and she didn’t answer, only offering to bring new ones after my daughter had already taken one. It made us very uncomfortable.
The biggest issue for me was what happened with my daughter’s applesauce. She never received it with her meal, and we asked about it. Even after acknowledging it, the waitress passed by our table multiple times without bringing it. When she finally came over to see if we’d be paying at the kiosk, I asked if the missing applesauce would be removed from the bill. She responded very rudely and told me no, I “should have told her we didn’t get it,” even though we had already done so. We were finished our food and just waiting on the applesauce, she said she’d bring out. Being spoken to like that was upsetting, especially when we tried to be patient and understanding the entire time.
This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner, but the service made it frustrating instead. We usually enjoy coming here, but last night’s experience was honestly very disappointing.
So this place did not disappoint! We left outback disappointed since the staff did not acknowledge us. We went on the app and got in line. In no time we received a text and was welcomed. The food was on point! ❤️❤️❤️
