Don’t get me wrong but it’s hard to rate a chain family steak restaurant 5 stars. It’s always busy because the food is good and for around $25.00 for a full steak dinner it’s tuff to beat so we keep going back for the value. The grilled shrimp is very good and of all the times I have been here I have never had to return the steak for being over or under cooked. It’s busy so service will be good to very good most of the time. Food is good at this price point. Last time I had literal ice in my salad and they were attentive to that. I didn’t want anything as stuff happens. But appreciate the concern. The kids enjoy the various kid meals like steak bites or kids ribs. They let the kids have salads for a side at no upcharge. If you want a quite dinner go elsewhere but it’s Texas Roadhouse and the shouting birthday chears are part of the vibe here so just be aware. Drink prices are fair as well or less then others if you wish to enjoy a adult an beverage.

Celebration dinner for our friend was welcomed with quick service, friendly waiters, and good food. Our waiter Landon and waitress Kelly were attentive to our tables and recommended great meals for first time customers to Texas Roadhouse within our party.

I was at this establishment last night (1/20/2026). I was served a note inside my plate of food. Which was a complete turn off. I didn’t realize what was in my food at first. But I had them take it back after noticing it and I didn’t even want a replacement meal I just wanted to leave. Then I remembered I took this photo and I’m posting it now. The staff acted as it wasn’t a big deal. They’ll NEVER receive my business again.

Let me start off by saying, I will always drive an extra 20 minutes both ways to go to this location. Dyer is always an amazing experience.

Last weekend, my husband and I didn’t feel like driving the extra time to Dyer so we decided to give Crown Point a second try. I won’t get into detail. The whole experience was terrible and we will never try that location again.

We decided to go to Dyer location yesterday for an early dinner. Our server was Alena (I hope I spelled it right!) Even though they were so busy.. she was phenomenal!!!! From the moment we sat down, to when we left. She was fast, attentive, funny, and very professional. She is good at what she does. I told her about Crown Point towards the end of our dinner and told her how amazing she was. Texas Roadhouse is lucky to have her. We will always be at this location because the service and food is always great!

Honestly have never had a bad experience. Food is always consistent and delicious. Our last visit was actually a to go order of the family sirloin pack and another steak dinner. They remembered everything and had it ready to ho right on time even with an obviously busy dining room.

We have been to this Texas Roadhouse many times but tonight sealed the deal that we will never go back. One the restaurant was trashed! Garbage and food under all the tables and walk ways absolutely disgusting. I had the steak and ribs which the steak was mostly fat and the ribs were water logged the meat was extremely mushy. The bathroom was caked in toilet paper and urine smelled was overwhelming. Booths had extending tables which blocked emergency exits. Never saw a manager to talk about our food situation but also really didn’t want my food fixed because we just wanted to get out of there. The health department really needs to go in there. I’ve never had dinner in a restaurant that disgusting and never will again. It was like having a steak dinner in an out of control Chuck E Cheese and Port a John at the same time.

I ordered a slab of ribs and the back of the were chaired and my boyfriends green beans tasted like they were from the can. We both were very excited to go there and experienced some disappointments. I will never order the ribs again and my boyfriend will never order the green beans again. Other than those couple complaints, everything else was great!

My family and I visited TR in Dyer….I’m giving 5 stars only because of our waitress, Mikala she was absolutely amazing! From the moment she greeted us, everything turned around. She was friendly, attentive, professional, and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time.

Unfortunately, the experience before being seated was very disappointing. From the moment my family and I arrived, we didn’t feel welcomed at all. We had call-ahead seating and received the text to come in, but after checking in, we were told to wait and ended up standing there another 10 minutes while several groups (who arrived after us which were white) (we’re black) were seated immediately. When I asked about our table, the host gave attitude and brushed me off.

When we were finally seated, our table wasn’t clean. There were food, crumbs, and butter were still left on it. When I asked for it to be wiped again, the person doing it sighed and seemed annoyed. On top of that, the bread that came out was almost burnt, though Mikala quickly brought fresh ones without hesitation. I asked her for a top for the butter she brought out fresh bread to go plus the top. 🙂

Overall, Mikala made the experience worth staying, but the front staff and initial service definitely need serious improvement in hospitality and professionalism.

The wait wasn’t too bad for a packed Saturday. I got the early Bird special: grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Very flavorful dish; the chicken was juicy. Our server was skilled and pleasant. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.
