My boyfriend uses a wheelchair, and we found the restaurant to be very wheelchair accessible. The employees checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were comfortable and even changed our table so we could fully enjoy our meal, which we truly appreciated.
Our server, Noah, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We ordered the early dine specials, and he made sure we had fresh bread, full drinks, and great recommendations.
My country-fried steak was crispy and cooked to perfection, with excellent sides. My boyfriend’s steak was on the smaller side but cooked perfectly, and with two sides each, it was more than enough food. The music was fun, the restaurant was clean, and all the employees were friendly and helpful. Even the manager stopped by our table to check on the food and service.
This Texas Roadhouse delivers a high-quality steakhouse experience at a very affordable price. They truly take it to the next level!
We did have a wait, and while waiting we tried one of the tabletop games, which ended up costing 1.99 for just two minutes and honestly was not worth it.
One thing we really appreciated was the filtered water. If they served regular tap it would not be great, so that was a nice touch. The Caesar salad came out very cold, almost straight from the fridge, so the romaine had not developed much flavor yet. Aside from that, everything else was excellent.
We dined in on a Friday night, and while it was busy, the online check-in helped speed things up a bit.
Outside in the waiting area, there are a few activities to keep both kids and adults entertained, like a giant Connect Four game. There was also a decent amount of seating available while we waited.
Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long before we were brought in and seated.
The wait staff at the Port Orange location were fantastic. We never had to ask for refills, and they were friendly without being overbearing. Our server checked in regularly enough to keep drinks topped off and make sure everything was going smoothly without disrupting our experience. Every interaction with our waiter was also a delight with his friendly attitude. The attentiveness of the wait staff alone made the dinner experience shine.
Then the food arrived, and a new star of the night took the stage. We ordered the combo appetizer with jalapeño poppers, potato skins, and cheese sticks. It was the perfect trio, and not a single bite was left behind.
Of course, we have to talk about Texas Roadhouse’s famous dinner rolls and cinnamon butter. They’re dangerously good. If you’re a bread lover, you’ll definitely be asking for a second basket, and they’ll happily bring it to you!
By the time our main courses came out, we were already feeling a bit full, but the mouthwatering aromas gave our appetites a second wind.
I went with the 12oz prime rib with horseradish (served on the side), a baked potato loaded with cheese, sour cream, and bacon, and a Caesar salad that arrived just after the appetizer.
The prime rib was cooked to perfection, with just enough pink to let the juices flow when I cut into it. Each bite was better than the last, and the horseradish added a kick that brought out even more flavor.
The baked potato, though technically only a side dish, was no side character in this show. It was seasoned and cooked just right, with crispy skin and soft insides that were then stuffed with cream cheese, cheddar, and bacon. That combo took it from good to great.
Everyone else enjoyed their meals too. The shrimp and steak were cooked and seasoned perfectly, the chicken fingers were crunchy and juicy, and the steak fries came out golden and delicious.
Overall, the Port Orange Texas Roadhouse did not disappoint, and we’ll definitely be going back. The only hard decision next time will be what to pick from their amazing menu!
Steak was good, drinks were too.
Super loud though.
This particular location is always crowded. They still dance at this location which is fun. However, the quality of the food or service in general is what is the big variable. Sometimes the server is prompt, sometimes not. This last visit, it’s 5pm, they are not overly crowded and it still took the server a decent amount of time to show up and then she took the entire order, drinks and all. Everything (app, salad, and main course) came at once. Ask for barely pink, steak comes raw. This past visit, I also noticed no one took dirty plates. So, as we ate our three courses that arrived all at once, we had no where to put the dirty dishes. We stacked them at the end. The server did stop by and ask if we needed anything but still didn’t take the dishes as she walked away. We assumed she would take it but nope. A manager stopped by and asked about the now cooked twice steak and it was still really red inside. We didn’t know what to say without thinking we were there for another free item. However, she asked what we asked for (barely pink) and she saw the steak and it was definitely just past the raw stage. She took her ticket and just walked away.
Sometimes the food doesn’t come till you flag down a manager after you waited a long, long time. Yep, prior visit, everyone else’s food is arriving and they lost our ticket. Yes, that meal was compensated with a return coupon. But….
Long story short, the food is consistent with the brand. It’s just the other stuff you need to be prepared to overlook.
But what really made this visit stand out was the amazing atmosphere and energy from the staff. Not only were they attentive and friendly, but they also put on a fun and lively dance show that had the whole restaurant clapping along! It brought such a great vibe to the evening and made it more than just dinner — it was entertainment too.
Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for great food, great service, and a bit of Texas-style fun.
