I’m a somewhat frequent customer at the Matthews Texas Roadhouse location, and I’ve had extremely good and consistent experiences there to date.
Today I found myself at their Rock Hill location, and I was blown away! I just found their ambiance, music, and general vibe much more energetic and vibrant, which was much appreciated! I joined the waitlist on their mobile app, and the estimated time the app showed me was pretty much correct.
As far as service goes, my waiter did make a mistake as far as not ringing up the order in a timely manner (causing a 1 hour delay). I love how the waiter took full accountability for this mistake, and the manager spoke to us and provided a fair deduction off our bill as an apology.
Food was great – my sirloin was a PERFECT medium. Not medium rare, not medium well, but just the middle. Appetizer combo, salmon, salads, and rolls were all A+ from my experience.
Great experience overall. I’ll be back soon

My server Cameron was the absolute best. Very attentive to detail, checked in on me regularly and had a very positive attitude! Food was great! Super busy when I arrived on a Wednesday evening, but only waited about 10 minutes!

It’s been a while since I’ve been to a Texas Roadhouse due to rude customer service but tonight I opted for some and my goodness was I glad I did. I went to the bar and the bartender Alexa was incredible! She’s not what I’d typically expect when I step in a Texas Roadhouse, but she was a pleasant surprise. I was greeted in less than a minute even though she was busy, she made great recommendations for drinks and was patient with me while I ordered food. The food was great and came out in a timely manner. There were no issues with the quality and the prices are fair for a chain restaurant.

EVERYTIME I come here and order a dozen rolls. They literally give you a scoop of butter. For 12 big rolls. They don’t even fill the container up, that they’re putting the butter in! Then when u bring it to the person attention at the take out window. She have the nerve to charge me $3.00 for extra butter. How can 3 Different ppl eat 12 rolls, With literally a scoop of butter then get charged for more ????? Why should you pay extra for butter when u already bought not 3,6 or 8 but 12 rolls. Won’t be wasting my time coming all the way from carowinds to here. All this bread for a scoop of butter is not cool. It’s literally a small scoop and a bunch of air in the container for all this bread.

The server came once to take our order, never got a refill on anything, bread/drinks, waited for food for 25 minutes just to get it from another person and our server to immediately drive by and say how are you enjoying it, not waiting for a response or anything, not the worst experience but definitely 2nd place. Still tipped good but was pretty mad. Also we got dirty plates and last of the tea urn buds and tons of sugar on the bottom.

This was my first Texas Roadhouse experience (I know, I’ve been missing out!!) and it was amazing! Food was great and came out hot, the rolls were obviously incredible. You also can’t beat a $5 house marg.
Our server made the experience that much better though. Shout out to Bella Smith! I may be biased because we share the same first name but she was literally funny, hospitable, accommodating and everything you could ask for in a server. Kudos to her, she did a great job and took excellent care of us. Also omg, did you know they line dance every once in a while at roadhouse???? It was a treat to watch. I was ever entertained, felt like a bonafide cowboy, and got to eat delicious food. I highly recommend adding grilled onions and mushrooms to your steak, those were perfect. I was also pleasantly surprised how efficiently the restaurant was run. Definitely make sure to do call ahead/online book your seats to avoid a long wait, as it’s a popular spot.
TLDR; great service, great food, fun and efficient location with sweet people.

We visited here on a Thursday night, very big location. This spot is always busy,has ample parking..but can be hard to find a park sometimes.,great location plenty of shopping nearby. They have an outside window were you can place and pick up 2 go orders.clean parking lot and front entrance. This spot gives real roadhouse vibes inside and out. The inside has plenty of seating and nice decor all over. Upon entrance don’t miss the hand cut steak display!There’s usually a wait here but we were seated in under 5min.Staff was very friendly and service was great. Our food took about 10 minutes 2 arrive,I had my favorite 4pc catfish fried,fries and vegetables broccoli and carrots. Ahelicious as always..my wife had 2pc pork chops salad and bake potato. Can’t forget about those Ahelicious rolls . This is definitely a place to bring the whole family, good drink menu, bar,and music.clean restrooms also
