The service at the to-go window was really fast, and the people working were very nice. The fries and mashed potatoes were delicious. The rolls were amazing as usual. The steak was well seasoned. It was just difficult to eat through all the fat.
I ordered the beef tips, and wow—tender, flavorful, and swimming in savory goodness. The kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite and say, “Alright… this was the right decision.”
But let’s talk about the real superstar: those legendary rolls. Warm, fluffy clouds of happiness with that cinnamon butter that should probably come with a warning label. I told myself I’d only have one… then suddenly three had disappeared. I’m not saying they’re addictive, but I’m also not saying they’re not.
Great food, lively atmosphere, and the kind of meal that makes you loosen your belt a notch and leave smiling. Danbury definitely scored a win with this location.
Our server (I believe his name was Henry?) was super attentive and extremely friendly. He took fantastic care of the large party that came in an hour and a half before closing.
I also accidentally forgot my wallet at the restaurant, but was about 10 minutes away when I noticed and drove back to pick it up, and our server had it for us and was also going to drive out and give it back to me, which was super duper friendly and not necessary to do at all.
Thank you to the staff at Texas Roadhouse in Danbury, we appreciate the friendliness and hospitality!
The cactus onion is really good and I also had the sirloin with grilled shrimp, all of them were great. The bread and butter they serve at the beginning was really good, bread was warm and crunchy.
Place is crowded but very organized. There’s no way to make a reservation for parties with less than six but you can join an online wait list and wait in your car. You get a text when it’s time for you to come in.
