Me and a sibling were all out of options here in Austin during thanksgiving as we are away from home.
Luckily we found this place on the UberEats platform and decided to grab 2 thanksgiving plates and we’re very glad we did.
The turkey was great, the portions for the sides are reasonably sized and were very good! The queso was awesome as well.

This was a random pick because we’ve been most other places near us. Best chance restaurant in a while. My husband’s steak was amazing perfectly cooked and savory seasoning. My salmon was also grilled to perfection. I like it slightly more cooked than most fish places serve their salmon. The sweet potato fries were crisp but not crunchy and not soggy, very well executed in my opinion. The chips (warm) and salsa/guac were on point. There is a separate charge for guacamole FYI. Hubby got draft Dos a large is twice price as small. I got a Strawberry Punch had low key flavor and a lot of ice a little watery, not great not horrible. The customer was simply the best ever. Attentive but didn’t hover. Never ran out drinks, almost immediately after finishing our dirty plates were removed like magic. Atmosphere was rustic country with a live fire and tvs playing fireplaces. Lighting provided a comfy and inviting atmosphere.

We visited Texas Land & Cattle in Austin, TX and the experience was just okay. I ordered the Texas Pick 3: Spinach dip, Texas wings with garlic parmesan, and TX potato skins, and a Sprite. The rest of the table ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies, and garlic bread also a smoked sirloin with a baked potato and garden salad, along with a strawberry lemonade.
While the food was okay and service was decent, nothing stood out enough to make me want to return. It was not bad, but in a city like Austin with so many great dining options, it would not be a place I will return.

We had a party of 12 but the wait for the food and to get the checks was very long. There was several issues with getting the correct charges for the checks. Some cards were brought back witout being charged. The food on the other hand was delicious.

Texas Land & Cattle is so close to my apartment and in a great location. The menu has an excellent selection, and for my first time going, it was a great experience overall. Definitely coming back!
