I got really excited when I heard it changed again and was worth a visit. Boy was I disappointed when I learned they shrunk down so much it’s literally just the right side of the old restaurant left. I did like that you were sat and ordered from your table, that ordering than sitting was horrible. I was craving a good turkey burger and their was always so good but they didn’t have any which was also very rough for our evening. The waitress was very sweet and helpful and I seemed up with s chicken sandwich that was actually not bad. My fiance got the pastrami and he said it was ok too. Nothing that made you jump for joy or make me want to go back. I used to bring my kids here after little league games and they used to love the train driving around and just the whole atmosphere. It’s honestly just sad. Hope more good changes are coming. They did seem to have a lot of daily specials.

We came here for dinner. The food was great, they have lots of burgers, and bbq selections. Best burgers in AV imo. I had the Outlaw burger it was delicious. The sirloin was great! The mac and cheese is delicious, the red potato salad is delicious, onion rings are delicious, Texas toast delishus, strawberry lemonade is great. The theme is a Texas farmhouse vibe. Waitress was great. Would recommend. Service was quick.

Had the NY steak. Big and juices. Potato was delicious and so were the beans. Austin burger was amazing. Ribs were tender and the sauce was good.overall the experience was awsome. Nice service and nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

Arrived with my family on a Tuesday late afternoon. The Restaurant was currently not very busy. We had to find our own table. We waited 10 minutes at our table before the waitress finally took our drink order. Waited another 10 minutes before not even receiving our drinks before we decided to walk out.

I can’t say enough about this place. The food was fabulous, the staff were VERY nice and SUPER attentive and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. We really enjoyed our visit. Would eat here again for sure.

First time going here today, food was mediocre. The reason for the 1 star review is because I bought 2 meat plate for $42.00 that came with only THREE SMALL SLICES OF BRISKET and 1 PIECE OF TRITIP. If that isn’t bad enough, it only comes with a single side. Oh, and I guess 2 pieces of store-bought white toast. That price is absolutely insane for that miniscule amount of meat they gave. It is a straight up highway robbery.
Let me give you some comparisons: Luciles BBQ and Woodranch BBQ offer you three FAT beef ribs with 2 sides for $29.00. These are fresh and delicious and fullfill you. The dish I had here was abysmal in taste and in proportion.
No wonder the restaurant just downsized to 1/3 of its original size. Don’t come here.

It’s a neighborhood gem that is really close to my home. My son and I try to go a couple of times a month. The food is good. I like the hot link, baked beans and the blue cheese burger.
I would like to see this place thrive again. The pandemic impacted many businesses like this one and it’s been difficult to recover. It would be good if people who live in the neighborhood supported businesses like these. It’s a really nice setup and I think the space may be available to host private events.

Texas Cattle Company is a charmingly down-home Southern restaurant with highly attentive staff and simply delicious food. Instead of bread or rolls, they serve popcorn! Nicely buttery but not overly salty like movie theater popcorn. I ordered the Abilene burger with cheddar, raw onions, extra pickles, and ranch, cooked medium well. It’s so hard to find good ranch so I was stunned at how creamy and tangy theirs is, though I should’ve expected nothing but high quality ranch from a restaurant with Texas in the name! This is the place to go if you’re looking for authentic Texan food or just plain good beef!
