This was my first time coming here to eat. I saw a sign on the highway-Texas Best Smokehouse, so I stopped. It is inside of the gas station and is right next to Fuzzys Taco Shop. Everything in this place was clean. Definitely take pride in their place. Awesome. I approached the counter and spoke to a young gentleman who was friendly and very helpful. I had the chopped beef sandwich with extra sauce. It was tasty. Then at the checkout a pleasant young lady asked me if I needed a fork for my sandwich. Just nice experience all around. The sandwich was delicious. I will definitely comeback to try something different.

The Gift Shop is huge and actually worth browsing, with tons of unique items and regional finds. Being attached to a Pilot Truckstop makes fueling up easy, and the Tesla Superchargers make it a convenient stop for EV travelers too.
They even have a Fishing Tackle Shop on-site, which is such a fun and unexpected touch—ideal for anyone heading to the lake or just wanting to explore something new.

Second time, even better! Texas Best Smokehouse never disappoints! The pork ribs and turkey breast were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. But the real showstopper? The peach cobbler – absolutely divine! The service was top-notch too. Can’t wait to come back for more. Highly recommend!

Definitely a place worth checking out. To the homemade swing seats out front to the unique merchandise they have on sale. Great food as well in all the places that have it. In the photos I’ve provided. These are custom built. Look at the materials they used on both vehicles.

Came to the recently opened Texas Best Smokehouse and had an amazing experience. Ordered the “Cowboy” and had some of the best brisket and ribs I have ever had; they even have their own “in-house” smokers. The store was clean and had a great Texas theme too it. Staff was personable and fast. Will be up back!

NOPE! NEVER AGAIN! Not worth it! MEATLESS SPARE RIBS!! The sliced brisket- FULL OF FAT- I MEAN FULLL!! At first I was SPEECHLESS that she was serving 3/4 of FAT on each slice of “ BRISKET “ … literally 1/2 pound of pure fat , then had a bad attitude when I asked her if she could please cut off the fat because I DIDNT see any MEAT on the scale. If it wasn’t for meeting friends there to eat I definitely would have left she made me feel uncomfortable. Waste of $100 . Not the “ best” and overpriced for meatless ribs and fatty brisket.

I got a really big baked potato today. It was good with the exception to the very cheap bacon bits put on it. You are a BBQ place, why can’t you use premium bacon with your potatoes. That would align well with premium meat you put on your potatoes.

Not bad food is really good. Only beat out by homemade in our own smoker. Chicken was a little dry the ham was delicious brisket was top notch and the pulled pork was banging. The cowboy cut potatoes were scrumptious and the mac n cheese and green beans were good too.

It’s been a month or 2 since I’ve stopped here, but something has changed. Both the ribs and brisket is dry as hell. Cost too much to be that dry. It’s worth the cost when it’s good though. Have to get some tacos or something at Fuzzys next time
