This has GOT to be the BEST BBQ I’ve ever had in my life! My husband and I were traveling back home from a work trip in TN and we wanted to find some good home style BBQ. I checked the reviews and this place has 4.7 stars and most said it was pretty good (more like awesome!!!) The ladies who work there are just as wonderful as the food! You can tell they put so much love into it. The owner and other staff came out to thank us for coming there and asked us if the food was OK. I just kept telling them how good it was. I’m pretty much the pickest person in the world and this is by far, is beyond delicious!! They give you a bottle of warm homemade BBQ sauce with our food. I had the pulled pork that just melted in my mouth along with the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was just as good. The noodles melted with cheesy goodness!!! Put together it was the perfict bite!!! My husband had Rib tips, brisket, Mac and cheese and baked beans. He said his brisket was amazing!! He also said the baked beans were near perfect. (he wants bacon in them.) The portions are big too! I have leftovers!!! They were out of a few things I wanted to try but that’s ok, that just means I gotta find my way back!! Cutest little inside diner- if you like BBQ do yourself a favor and go here!!

Terrific barbecue. My family was staying in the area, and I looked up local restaurants. I like BBQ and this place had a high rating. It did not disappoint. We each got a meal with two sides, and it was delicious.
The dining area is not large, and several of the tables were occupied by people waiting for a carryout order. There was a sign up when we walked in saying that they were busy, and that we would have to wait 30 minutes for our food. Which we did. It was worth the wait, and we were not the only ones to think so.

Extremely warm greeting. I was visiting from Houston to see the Roots 101 museum. Yummy tender pulled pork, BBQ beans, macaroni and cheese and green beans. Meat was smoked through and through. Short wait time, about 10-15 minutes for carry out.

I’m in town on business for a couple weeks, kept driving by this place. Only open on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays.
Being originally from Texas, I couldn’t help myself, waited for a week for Friday….The smoke was finally rolling.
Met the pit master Dante on my way in the door to order, the gal at the front counter was phenomenal and as accommodating as possible. when I asked her about the meatloaf, the gumbo she yelled at the owner through the kitchen window and that’s when lady and I start the Texas conversation…..both of us being from Texas originally we hit it off immediately.
Her food was perfect!!…….met some locals and newbies.
She has a suggestion box and when she brought my order out of the kitchen, I mentioned to her that maybe my only suggestion would be that it’s mandatory I get all leftovers on Sunday. She immediately replied, be here at seven on Sunday to help with the dishes and I’ll give you whatever we have left overand as she smiled she goes we won’t have any leftovers.

This place was fantastic! Exactly what you want when you are looking for a great BBQ joint. Delicious food and the people were so kind and down to earth! They made sure they personally asked you how the food was (which was amazing!). Definitely will return!

I was Traveling and wanted to try something new!! I googled best places to eat near New Albany, In , BBQ Lady was my choice!! I’m so happy to have tried the Ribs, Mac n Cheese, Greens, Corn bread muffin, Peach Cobbler, Banana Pudding, and Carmel Cake. My husband had the smoked sausage with two sides!! Delicious Food! My favorite was definitely the ribs. My husband’s choice is the smoked sausage. Overall, it was a great restaurant to eat,

I am not a fan. The food was good but pretty average. The ribs had good flavor but were not “fall off the bone” they were cooked in the style of a BBQ competition where the meat is expected to stick to the bone. Baked beans were good but had a little bit of an unusual flavor in the background. There was an ingredient in there that I am not used to tasting in Baked beans. I couldn’t figure it out but I liked it. Green beans were average as was the potato salad. I thought it was a little bit pricey but not terribly expensive. We were there about 5:30 pm on Friday and there was one couple there eating and maybe 2 more came in as we were leaving. The Derby Festival is in full swing so that might impact the crowd. We split a rack of ribs dinner, green beans, baked beans, ordered another medium side, two bottles of Tea and Sonya got a dessert I think it was about $54. There was nothing wrong with the food, it was prepared very well but so this is all about personal preference and not to disparage their cooking. It was cooked really well.

Best bbq around! The servers were so sweet! The owner came out and greeted us and thanked us for coming. I got the rib tips with potato salad and Mac and cheese. My husband got rib tips too with baked beans and green beans. The tips were tender and flavorful. The potato salad was amazing. I don’t like heavy Mac and cheese and their Mac and cheese was not. It was really good as well! They have a TV in there and it was playing a college football game. Definitely will be my go to for bbq when they come back in March.

We had a slab of pork ribs – they were delicious. The meat would peel right off the bone. I would definitely recommend. The bbq sauce was great too.
The sides were not bad, but not really my style though. We had mac & cheese (my preferred one), green beans, coleslaw and baked beans. Next time I would pass on the baked beans since they have a sweet taste, as if they had some bbq sauce in them (I’m from Mexico, so not really my style).
The service was great and the person that attended us was super helpful. We will be coming back for more ribs soon.
