If you’re looking for barely smoked, tastes like it was mostly cooked in an oven food, then don’t go here. I got chicken and brisket, the salad came from my garden. The brisket had a nice crust, as pictured. Deep smoke flavor with a little char. It goes great with what tastes like sweet homemade bbq sauce. The chicken was not dry and had good smoke flavor and the skin was fairly crispy. One cool thing they do here I’ve never seen anywhere else – Texas toast instead of plain white bread. Genius and a delicious but simple compliment to already good food.

Meat was so dry and too many burnt pieces I trashed it. Baked beans were okay, nothing special, potato salad tasted good but they wwre not remotely cold, not convinced they were refrigerated so didn’t eat more than 1 bite. Spent $23 on 2 meat and 2 side dinner expected something edible. Ate baked beans trashed the rest and ended up eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. 1st time eating there and will never be back.

Decided to try this place and come to find out my friend knows the cook. This bar-b-q was delicious. The brisket was juicy and fatty just like I like it. The chicken was good too. The beans were soooooo good, they but meat in the beans. Those beans were not from a can. The Mac & Cheese was ok, could have been a little more saucy. Overall I would definitely go back for the brisket.

The food had me in ER it was my first time trying there food out and I’m disgusted by it because it gave me food poisoning. And then on top of that they didn’t even put all my food items in my order.. So with that being said I will not be a repeat customer by any means!!! But thank yall for even attempting to act like you cared enough when I called your restaurant and told u about my experience. But hey may god bless y’all and have a blessed day!!!

RUN DON’T WALK to this establishment. I’ve had a lot of BBQ here in Houston, and I can say with confidence that this is the BEST in the city. Trust me. Hitters is a black owned restaurant operated by family. My food was delicious and customer service was great.

From the flavorful, well seasoned (ancestors call) skin to the chicken itself. Finger-licking good. Happy Friday, 08/09/24

*Proceed carefully. May cause a person to slap their mother. It’s that good.*

Texas BBQ has always been a hit or Miss for me. This time Hitter’s hit it on the nail. The meat was perfectly seasoned and smoked. Wasn’t dry. It was juicy and flavorful. The meat didn’t even need any sauce. As for the brisket baked beans, some of the best beans I’ve ever had. You can tell they were fresh and made from scratch. Look like I just found my new BBQ joint.

We’ve been going for years. Absolutely the best BBQ we’ve found in Texas and the ONLY place we can get rib tips!! As you can see from the pics we eat there as often as possible. Never thought I’d eat deer sausage, now I have to have it!!

This was my first and most likely last visit. The place appeared to be run by a few kids who clearly lacked basic customer service skills. Despite my reservations, I decided to place an order anyway. Unfortunately, the staff seemed annoyed to even have to serve or prepare the food.

The food itself was a big letdown. The meat was dry and lacked any real BBQ smoke flavor. The mac and cheese had barely any cheese and looked like it had been sitting out for a while. The potato salad was overly salty, nothing tasted fresh.

I ended up giving the food to my dog. Total waste of money.

I don’t know why anyone would give Hitters anything less than a 5 Star…
We only tried the brisket baked beans because there is no dine in and our office is far away…but seriously, next time I’m bringing a pop up table and eating in front of my car.

These brisket baked beans by far exceed all levels of expectations…probably because I like my beans sweet y’all and these beans have pieces of brisket in there all swimming around minding their own business until your fork catches it and boom in your mouth it goes!

We will have to go back, soon. Parking is a bit hairy…but it’s worth the trouble. I’m now a self proclaimed fan.
