Doesn’t look like much from the outside. As a matter of fact you could miss it if not looking but we were looking! Had this place recommended and been wanting to try. Go early or call to make sure they haven’t run out.
Didn’t disappoint at all. Food was amazing. Sliced beef and chicken plate was tender and smoked really well. Sauce was thick and sticky. Just the way I like it. Baked potato salad was delicious. Beans were pretty basic and didn’t care for Cole slaw. Even eating in everything was packed to go?? No sauce or beverages available for self serve. Despite those negatives I would 100% go again. Great food!! Hidden gem in Willis.

Great BBQ at great prices, we almost forgot to take a picture! Potato salad was creamy, baked beans perfectly seasoned, and the one-meat platter was a hit. They sell out quick, so call ahead. Love their motto: God, Family & BBQ amen to that!

Simply amazing BBQ in Willis/ Conroe/ and The Woodlands area. Best in Houston. Chris is a master craftsman of meat. He and Jenn run the Texans BBQ. There’s always a line – for good reason. We hired them to catered our daughter’s wedding too, and we had 100 percent positive reviews from our guests! The brisket, ham, and sausage are my favorites. My wife likes the chicken and ham. The baked potato casserole is a must order.

First time visit to this restaurant. It is close by our home in The Woodlands Hills. Had 1/2 lb of Brisket to go and it was very good. Prices are reasonable too. They have a drive-thru window if desired. Will be back.

Hands down the BEST barbecue in Willis—maybe all of Texas!

Texas Barbecue off 8:30 is a hidden gem that deserves every bit of praise it gets—and then some. From the moment you pull up, you know you’re about to experience something special. It’s a small, no-frills place, but the flavor and quality are off the charts.

Let’s talk about the jalapeño chicken—it’s to die for. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, with just the right kick of heat. The brisket? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. I swear, if I could take home a truckload, I’d never leave my house again. Every bite is smoked to perfection, full of that rich, smoky depth you can only get from pitmasters who know what they’re doing.

The portions are generous, the sauce is next-level, and the service is just as warm as the food. Everyone here is friendly, helpful, and passionate about what they do. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, and you can feel the love poured into every plate.

Be warned though—they’re not always open, and when they are, there’s usually a line out the door. And for good reason! This place sells out fast, so don’t sleep on it. Get there early, grab your spot in line, and prepare to be blown away.

Whether you’re a BBQ connoisseur or just someone who loves good food, this place is a must-visit. 10/10, no notes, just go.

What a great find. We were camping at Cagel Rec Area and headed to town for errands. Found this place online. Comfortable dining area, friendly staff, and the food is delicious. The sides are incredibly flavorful. I had chopped brisket (best I’ve ever had), baked potato casserole (tasty), and excellent pinto beans. Sevings are very generous. I would definitely go again if I lived in the area.

highly recommend! The food is absolutely delicious, the owners are SO kind and down to earth. We tried all kinds of variety, the brisket, sausage, ribs, chicken, and it’s 10/10!

Small little quiet place, great service! We had the my ribs and brisket plates with two sides. Brisket is by far the best we’ve ever had, it’s sliced thickly and hardly any fat on it which I love and also very soft! The lady in the front was such a sweetheart & that’s always a plus for me! If you’re in the area, please come by to eat there or just take it with you, I recommend it! Two thumbs up

I really wanted to like this place & like the food. Went on a weekend afternoon & chatted and ordered from what I presumed was the manager of the restaurant. Told them I loved brisket and that I heard they served great bbq. Order brisket, ribs, and a few of the sides.

Good part – the sides were very solid & would definitely order again. Bad part – everything else. The brisket tasted like a thanksgiving roast, not nearly what true Texas brisket should be. The ribs were halfway decent, but nothing super memorable.

I waited a while to write this review because I didn’t want to be truthful, but I feel I was doing a disservice.

This is definitely a one and day restaurant, in my own opinion. I wish them the best!

What the heck?? I looked at all the pictures of beautiful barbecue from all of your reviews and I decided I really needed to try this place. So, I visited at 2:00 p.m. on a Thursday. Maybe because it was past the prime lunch time but I didn’t get anything like what I saw in the pictures. Take a look at mine. Everything was dry as a bone and oddly, very small. Tiny ribs, thin brisket – as if it came from a tiny cow. I can’t quite figure out how I got what you see in my pictures and what everyone else got that I’ve seen in theirs. It’s like it’s two different places.
In fact, they were so dry that it would have been tough to work through them, but they were saved by liberal application of their outstanding barbecue sauce.
As with other reviewers, I found little to no smoke flavor, but at least the meats were cooked properly and very tender. However, you shouldn’t have to depend on the sauce to enjoy good barbecue.
For the sides, the coleslaw was quite ordinary but the potato salad was excellent.
It’s a tiny dining room – classic barbecue shed and kind of perfect. There was no visible restroom but wet wipes are on every table.
Based on the very high ratings I may have caught them on and off day or maybe just too late to get moist meats. This is clearly a neighborhood favorite and the steady stream of diners and take out orders support that.
Finding good barbecue in this part of town is tough, and based on what I was served I would not return. I would drive the extra 30 minutes and hit Bar A in Montgomery. That’s a whole different level.
