We drove down for the day to eat at Terry’s since it’s been awhile since we’ve eaten there. We sat outside for lunch, and the patio area is very relaxing. Our server, Rachel, was very good! We started with Bloody Mary’s, and they were really good. The food was very good too! A chicken sandwich and chicken piccata. For dessert, we had the lemon serbeto.
I highly recommend this restaurant when in Carmel.

Terry’s at the Cypress Inn is everything you want in a brunch spot—delicious food, live jazz that sets the mood just right, and an ambiance that makes you want to linger. The jazz brunch is a must. Bonus points for being super dog-friendly (yes, there’s a dog menu!) which makes the whole experience even more fun. It’s the kind of place you come back to every time you’re in town.

We LOVE the burger at Terry’s! The staff is always friendly and even when you ask for a Ramos Fizz, they make it and hand shake it for you! Jacob and Sam, both bartenders, were fantastic! We will always come back to Terry’s when we are in Carmel, whether we stay at Cypress or not! Thanks for the great service and good food/cocktails!

So comfortable and inviting for people and their dogs if you want to bring them! The chicken salad is the best ever and the Inn is a lovely tribute to Doris Day

We had a great dinner a few blocks away and then went to the lounge to have a couple of drinks and enjoy the entertainment which to our delight, was Debbie Davis with Gennady. Dog friendly lounge, great group of guests and my dirty martinis were perfect, much thanks to the barkeep and Tatyanna. Next time we are in town, we will enjoy the restaurant as the food looked spectacular and the diners said it tasted as good as it looked.

The paint job in the dog part of the bar is HORRIBLE. They are trying to make a curtain theme but it’s very bad. The club sandwich is great but they put a chicken and waffles on the menu and we are big fans of chicken and waffles and that one was the worst we ever had! Waffle was small, flat and hard as a rock. It needs to be a fluffy Belgian. The bone-in chicken was all bone and a few bites of chicken. And no country gravy. A good chicken and waffles needs a fluffy waffle, good chicken and perfectly boneless and country gravy along with syrup . The service however was very very good! The new guy was on point!

My family has visited Carmel so many times since the 1960s and have seen many changes during that time. Fortunately, the Cypress Inn has just gotten better and remained our favorite lunch destination over the years.
Enjoying a delicious lunch and a glass of wine at a table in the courtyard is always a pleasure when visiting Carmel. The service is friendly, attentive and it’s such a delight to see all the dogs! Thanks!

Cute place! Great downtown location. walking distance to ocean and restaurants. 40 min drive to big sur hiking. Booked a room for 2 nights on their website only to be informed that I would have to switch rooms on the second night. One of the front desk workers could tell I was not happy about switching rooms.and came to our rescue. The room was not the original one I booked but at least we didnt have to switch. The bed was really creeky, bathroom was really small and you can hear everything from your room (which had pluses and minuses to it) the room and hotel was decorated nicely. The continental breakfast was nice and convenient. They had a wonderful eating area and patio. They also had some of the most well behaved non-service dogs staying in the hotel. Besides the room mix up we had a great time and would stay again.
