Absolutely love this place. I have family living in the area, and every time we visit we make sure to get a BBQ feast from Terry’s. Favorites are the pork, the dry rub ribs, and excellent brisket. I haven’t had a side I didn’t love. They also have great banana pudding. Everything is made in house, and the owners are delightful. My husband has made a point of sampling all the NC bbq he can get his hands on, and this is one of his favorites.

I had originally wanted brisket, and chicken, but they were out! I instead got the 1/2 rack of ribs. Pretty damn great. Country green beans were awesome. Good slaw. Cornbread was nice and soft. Terry and Isabella both came to check on us and make sure all was good. Friendly place. Great food.

I have used Terry’s for catering my wife’s birthday party and the food was great between the sides and his Brisket and Pulled Pork BBQ. Everyone wanted to know where it came from.
Second, I stop in several times a month for a brisket sandwich which is the best I have had. But this time of year my favorite is his Brunswick Stew which has both chicken, pork and brisket in it. The brisket really makes the flavor jump at you and you can get it in 8, 16, 32 or 64 oz portions with free cornbread added. Terry’s is the only BBQ place I go to and his ribs are not bad either.

Took ferry from Fort Fisher to grab dinner here. The VERY best BBQ in the area. Came from Toronto Canada for a vacation at the beach and we found a great place to eat. Go for lunch if you want to get brisket. They say it sells out fast. Ribs, pulled pork and chicken were great. Also the sides are delicious and portions generous. Coming back to the beach next year and will be on that ferry back to Terry’s.

Terry and the staff were amazing people, so friendly and kind. We had the pork and brisket plate with slaw, Brunswick stew, and Mac and cheese, with cornbread. All the food was great. Pork and stew were the best. Huge portions; two of us couldn’t finish one meal.

Great BBQ. We got a catered lunch for work and not only was the BBQ and sides awesome, the staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. Definetly on our agenda for future work lunches. If you like NC BBQ, this is a great place. The sauces are very good too.

This was by far the best food experience while we were here visiting Oak Island! A little hole in the wall we drove by but are very glad we turned around.
Between all of us we tried the pork, brisket and ribs… all excellent.
Mac n cheese made with larger than regular noodles and just the right amount of cheese.
Good cole slaw and superior baked beans with pulled pork in them.

Just fed 25+ people at Duke Energy with his BBQ Brisket and Pulled Pork, mac n cheese, potato salad, cole slaw, and bananna pudding to top it off. It was AWESOME, tastes great, great flavor, great price. Not one person had food left on their plate. I started going there last year, and haven’t stopped yet. BEST BBQ IN TOWN people, check it out, family owned and operated. Thanks Terry and Mrs Terry for working with us, and coming in on your DAY OFF to fill this order, see y’all next time.
