Terracotta Red (Everett) was such a great lunch spot — we will definitely be back. From the moment you walk in, the smell coming from the kitchen makes you excited about what’s coming. Everything just smells amazing.
We ordered a few different dishes and shared bites, and every single one was delicious. I had the Pineapple Prawn Fried Rice, Austin had the Pad See Ew, and Payton ordered the Emerald Fire Noodles — and honestly, Payton’s was the standout. I already know what I’m getting next time because it was that good.
We also started with the chicken satay and peanut sauce, and the sauce was excellent — rich, flavorful, and perfect with the chicken. I was especially happy to see how many gluten-free options they have. It made ordering easy and stress-free.
The location is super convenient — right off the freeway with easy parking — which makes it an easy stop whether you’re meeting friends, grabbing a casual family lunch, or even going out for a date. We’re based in Stanwood, and it was absolutely worth the short drive for such a great meal.
Great food, great atmosphere, and a place we’ll happily keep coming back to.
Only negative thing is the servers/service assistants rush you. Almost every time we feel rushed. We are always asked if we’re ready for boxes when we’re still eating. Not even 15 mins into the meal, we were asked twice if we needed boxes by two different staff members. The fifth time we were asked, we just said sure. They tried to take our plates so they could do it for us, which I declined and asked for the boxes to just be brought so we could box it when we’re ready. Being rushed is extremely annoying, especially when we hadn’t even been sitting for long. It was also a slow night around 6pm, so there were plenty of other tables available for other potential guests. There’s no reason rush guests, unless they’ve been sitting there for a while with nothing in front of them.
We had a fantastic experience here! Our server was truly great—very attentive and professional without being overly chatty.
The food was the star of the show. We started with appetizers, and it was immediately clear they were made by hand. The crab rangoons were distinctly fresh, not the pre-packaged kind, and the coconut shrimp was amazing. Seriously, the appetizers were a huge hit!
For our main courses, we really enjoyed both dishes: the pineapple shrimp fried rice was flavorful and satisfying, and the Tangerine beef was perfectly executed—very crispy and well-done, with no tough chewiness.
The only slight issue was with a drink. I ordered an Old Fashioned that the menu stated came with Luxardo cherries, but it arrived without them. As any Old Fashioned drinker knows, the cherry matters! If the restaurant had run out, the server should have let us know and apologized for the substitution. Why list Luxardo if you aren’t using them?
That said, I wouldn’t let a missing cherry stop you from visiting! The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, quick service (even for a Saturday night), and seemed to draw a nice crowd of families and groups. This is an amazing restaurant, and if you’re in Everett, you should absolutely try it.
