Reviews
I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday, drawn in by the promise of excellent views and glowing reviews about the food. While the scenery and cuisine lived up to expectations, the service was nothing short of abysmal—and thoroughly soured the experience.
The restaurant was moderately busy, staffed by just two servers. Still, it took over 30 minutes for our waiter to even acknowledge us, and when we politely inquired if he could take our order, his curt response was simply, “No, I’m busy.” As someone with prior service industry experience, I find this not only unprofessional but inexcusable. There’s a fundamental difference between being overwhelmed and being rude. A basic, “I’ll be with you in just a few minutes,” would have sufficed. Instead, we were met with open disregard.
When we eventually ordered the burrata, it arrived with toast so burnt and rock-hard it was genuinely inedible. We requested a replacement, only to be told—again, with no trace of courtesy—“No, there’s no other bread,” before he walked off mid-conversation. We had to flag him down again to clarify that the bread was unacceptable and needed to be replaced. The sheer audacity of serving something that wouldn’t pass in a cafeteria, let alone a supposed fine dining establishment, and then denying a fix, is baffling.
Yes, the food itself was enjoyable. But service like this undermines any culinary success. Against my better judgment, I still left a 15% tip out of sympathy, which I immediately regretted. Sympathy should never be a substitute for standards.
A beautiful setting and decent dishes can’t compensate for hostility disguised as service. I’m glad I tried it, but I won’t be returning—and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who values being treated with basic decency.
Thank you, Chef Juan, for creating such a beautiful and delicious dish. We truly enjoyed our experience!
After finally being seated, the food wait was absurd. We were stuck there for so long it felt like an all-day commitment, not a meal.
The front desk staff was the worst part: zero professionalism, no sense of urgency, unresponsive, and outright rude. No apology, no explanation, no accountability.
Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Avoid this place at all costs.
