Basically, you choose your protein and side. There are appetizers if you’re really up to it. I got fried rice as my side, but they charge me $1.95 more for that, but that’s alright.
The only issue is that they messed up my order when I ordered chicken teriyaki, but it’s probably steak. Thankfully, she remembered my order by looking my name and got my order right this time. Chicken teriyaki is very good since it blends very well with teriyaki sauce. The fried rice was more delicious as soon as teriyaki sauce blends in it too.
Honestly, it’s a good place to have lunch and I recommend people coming here.
Also the “how did we do” QR code on the receipt doesn’t work.
This no longer applies :
If I had to eat only one thing for the rest of my life, it would be the Mad Spicy Tofu!! Most places say “spicy” but fail…Teriyaki Madness is amazing. New to town and not knowing the portion sizes, I got a large and it was large. (a size of a pie pan) The leftovers didn’t last long. Normally I am not a big fan of food, but this was irresistible.
The food missed the mark. The salmon was on the dry side, and the steak, wasn’t served hot. This made me think that the food wasn’t made fresh even though my wait was considerably long. The vegetables lacked flavor, and the noodles were just okay. Given the premium pricing, I was hoping for something a bit more elevated and fresh.
It also took over 20 minutes for the order to be ready, and there weren’t any updates during that time. Even a quick “thanks for your patience” would’ve made the wait feel more intentional.
I’m not sure if the location or team is new, but they should go back to the drawing board. I won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone esp. considering Habit Burger is 100ft away.
service was good. they seemed very busy and the cashier was trying to get in as many orders as possible. understandable though since it was still around lunch.
atmosphere was like a fast food joint. i am not sure if this restaurant counts as fast food but the interior resembles a fast food joint. i had takeout so not sure how the eating experience is.
overall, a good find.
Overall for the value it’s pretty solid, good portions with decent flavors.
Nothing too special but for their pricing its above average for sure. Would visit again if I’m nearby.
One major complaint we had was the washroom was covered in poop (see pictures). This is the main reason why the rating is lower than it should be.
Some minor complaints are that even after requesting to eat Dine-In instead of Take-Out, we got our order in a plastic bag with the food in takeout style plastic containers. Another complaint is charging extra for things like Spicy and Extra-Spicy comes across as penny pinching. The tables have spicy chili sauce to add spicy anyways.
We got the Spicy Teriyaki Chicken and it wasn’t spicy at all. One large bowl was enough for two people. Regular chicken Teriyaki was fine too. Spicy Tofu was also not spicy. The food overall was good and we liked it just because it has Halal options. The noodles and rice were tasty and the chicken was delicious apart from not being spicy.
The inside was nice. The place was a little busy. We ordered the Salmon Plate (Large). I asked for the Teriyaki on the side. My daughters ordered a large Teriyaki Steak and Chicken Teriyaki with Yakisoba noodles and Crab Ragoons.
What a disappointment. The Salmon plate had some Teriyaki sauce on it, the Salmon was dry and had a salty fishy taste. The Crab Ragoons were in a tiny taco form (like at Jack in the box), I was expecting the normal Crab Ragoons.
I will say that the Crab Ragoons were ok, we ate all 6 of them…
The Fried rice (extra cost) with the Salmon Plate was very plane and dry.
My thought, I don’t mind paying more for good food. The bill came out to $75.00 for three (3) orders plus the Crab Ragoons and upgrade for fried rice. I was disappointed, we will never go to eat at this place ever again.
Check out the pictures.
