Teresa’s has been a local favorite since 1997. Originally began as an Italian restaurant that expanded in 2007 with a Belgian themed bar that has continued to evolve into one of the Philadelphia region’s most sophisticated and premier beverage programs for European and craft beer, natural wine, whiskey, gin and a natural and biodynamic wine shop. A 2018 James Beard semifinalist for Outstanding Bar Program.
The cafe plates up cheeses & game burgers while the adjacent bar offers a selection of beer & wine.

Reviews
Teresa’s Next door has an extensive bourbon, whiskey and scotch (a lot of varieties), Tripels and other Belgian beers, and a kitchen that keeps serving great food. Hands down nothing better in the area.
I had three dishes. The first was the Foie Gras which while small, packed a huge delicious taste. The second dish, was the steak Frites which was somewhat disappointing as I ordered it medium rare, but still felt a bit tough around the edges. The frites I was told were the best around, but didn’t quite meet the level of best. The show stopper out of the three was the last dish, the meatball, bread and ricotta. An absolute blow away dish. Very, very good. The bar service could have been more attentive, but being in hospitality, I’ll give the bartender the benefit of the doubt as he was quite busy. I would still recommend this place and especially that meatball dish!
Our server seemed to have an attitude problem. I have never had a server make it so clear that they do not want you there and they think you’re wasting their time by not buying enough. I think his name may have been Kevin.
I was there with two potential business connections to meet for the first time and have drinks and appetizers.
When we weren’t sure about what to get, he kept showing up every 30 seconds and asking if we were ready yet.
We ordered apps and tried to give our menus back. He would not take the menus until he was convinced we were not getting dinner.
At the end, I asked to split the check and he repeated what I asked in disbelief. “You need a split check?” What’s the big deal?
Then he made a big deal about how one person with us didn’t buy anything. They weren’t hungry, but the server’s attitude can’t be discounted as a factor in them not ordering. They said “so we’re just splitting the check 2 ways because this person didn’t order anything.” Thanks for clarifying I guess. I left feeling insulted.
I will not be back for any future business meetings. I may not look valuable to that server, but that has nothing to do with my value✌
