I went to this place twice this week, while driving for the Amish. My wife and I enjoy Mexican style restaurants and this place did not disappoint. The wait staff is a bit slower than I’m use, but they are polite and don’t make mistakes. I got the Steak Burrito that was smothered in cheese and a Charro dessert. All for under $20. Tasty, filling, and great ambiance. You could choose an outside, or bar seating, as well as a more intimate inside veranda style… Very quint place.

The food was amazing! I got a Chicken Fajitas for $7.25 and a Mango margarita for only $1.99 for a Tuesday lunch special and it was totally worth it. The plate was filling and everything had a punch of flavor! The margaritas were alright, but pretty good for the price I paid!! They also have lots of lunch specials and drinks specials for different days! Servers were friendly but had some communication issues, not sure if they had trouble understanding English or the menu. Overall a great value experience!

It was okay authentic Mexican food. There is a huge menu It’s rather mild it’s what I’d call Iowa spicy which means you don’t get any runny nose or watering eyes in any bite of anything. The food is reasonable tastes fine just nothing extremely special about it to add. The best part is they are open when everything else in Kalona closes

Basic cookie cutter Americanized Mexican food. You can choose from a extensive menu of items found in nearly every other ‘Mexican’ restaurant out there. The food was good, the service friendly and quick, and the establishment clean. Just nothing over the top special. Would I go again.. yes… IMO all reviews should start at 3 stars and stars are lost or gained.

I am a server in a Mexican restaurant and this place is mediocre at best. It was alright for a cheap lunch but I probably wouldn’t return. I rate it a 5 out of 10. Pollo con queso was just okay granted it’s hard to mess something like that up. Cheese dip was too thin, watered down. Can tell they order cheap products. The food actually came out pretty fast but servers definitely did not go out of their way to make the experience any better

The food is great. I typically get grilled steak tacos with rice and beans. The portions are suitable, and the price is not too expensive. The one thing that could be there to improve the dining at all of the tequila Grill locations would be to lower the volume of the music it is typically loud enough you cannot carry on a conversation without raising your voice.

Wasn’t very busy on a Friday night. Service was slow but servers where very nice. Margaritas where premixed and not made at restaurant, not very good. Fajitas where average. The grilled jalapeños where very good. Wouldn’t recommend this as an authentic resturant, disappointed

Waitress was rude. Other waiters were using curse words in Spanish while making fun of another waiter who was cleaning. The food had good flavor but was dry. We waited for over 15 minutes for our ticket without seeing anyone around for the whole time. There were hardly any other customers on that Friday night.

Margarita’s were really good. Try the strawberry, really really delicious!!!! We went on a day trip, I was really disappointed that there weren’t more choices of sit down restaurants in town. But this place turned out to be a very good choice and reasonable priced! Would go again.
