If you want a great view of the Wilmington downtown scenery and yachts this is the place to be. Great outdoor seating location, as well as indoor decor. Food came out looking amazing and appetizing, and they have a somewhat decent bloody Mary.

During our day visit to Wilmington we had the pleasure of finding this sweet spot. The location is full of cultural art pieces from a local artist. The fish tacos were fresh and full of flavor. Nice staff, friendly and attentive to our needs. Sitting outside on a nice sunny day upstairs or downstairs makes the experience a bit more pleasurable.

First time eating here and we will definitely be back! The wings were the best in Wilmington by far. I had the red drum fish tacos which were amazing. Everything was super fresh and authentic. It was a bit pricey for Mexican but I’ll pay up for great food, excellent service (Sofia was fabulous) and an amazing atmosphere.

One word delicious! We enjoyed their cheese dip and gaucomle to start off with. We tried the side of shrimp, sooo yummy! Then for our main meal we enjoyed the shrimp burrito bowl and the salmon. This place is beautiful decorated and has a fun atmosphere. The staff was all very kind and helpful. We can’t wait to visit again! 10 out of 10 we highly recommend!

I wasn’t sure what to expect since it’s located on the more commercial side, but Tequila Comida & Cantina Waterfront absolutely blew me away. Every single dish we ordered was outstanding fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive and perfectly crafted.
What really elevated our visit was the service. Our server, Sophia U, was incredible attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience was top-notch from start to finish.
This spot is truly a must-stop when you’re in town. Whether you’re looking for great food, amazing drinks, or excellent service, they’ve got it all covered. Highly recommend!

Tequila Waterfront is one of the best places to host an event in Wilmington, North Carolina. You can rent the top floor and balcony out (it has the prettiest river view in downtown). It is the perfect spot for a wedding reception, a corporate event, a fun DJ show, or anything your heart desires. When you call, ask for Rachel. She is one of the best event coordinators and will hook you up!

Had a great meal today! The food was really good I ordered the Ribeye Steak Ranchero , their home made salsa was a bomb! The salsa for the chips its something else! And the Agua de Horchata, let’s not talk about it! Everything was delicious. I also ordered a side order of fried plantains, for $4 bucks! Not bad at all!

We hosted our pre-wedding welcome reception at Tequila Waterfront Grille in Wilmington this June, and it could not have been more perfect. The waterfront views were absolutely incredible and set the tone for a truly memorable evening. The food was terrific—fresh, flavorful, and a huge hit with all of our guests.
What really made the night exceptional, though, was the service. Emily was amazing to work with. She helped us navigate a few last-minute changes with total professionalism and kindness, and her attention to detail ensured everything went smoothly.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Tequila Waterfront Grille for any special event!

Unless you HAVE to be on the riverfront, there are way better and cheaper Mexican food options out there!
Started with getting seated at a disgusting table with chips all over the floor see picture. Waited 5-6 minutes for the waitress who seemed high and spacey. Ordered a margarita (very small for $13) and received a basket of chips with no salsa. About 5 minutes later eating dry chips without salsa or a margarita the salsa and margarita arrived. The salsa is like spaghetti sauce, the worst I’ve ever had.
The taco’s arrived in less than 2 minutes while everything else took so long, but guess what, no napkins or silverware for our table of 5. Also, no water if you don’t ask. Finally the napkins arrived…the taco’s were just ok and probably worth the $2 that they are on Tuesdays but couldn’t imagine paying more. I prefer flour tortillas and these come with double slimy corn tortillas.
Gave 2 stars only because the view was decent. I won’t be going back. Good luck if you go! At least you can dress up a little gland feel like you might be in a trendy spot until you leave and realize you aren’t.
