If you’re craving good sushi without your wallet crying, Teppan Fuji is the spot. The sushi is fresh, delicious, and way cheaper than anywhere else in Flagstaff. I’ve tried a lot of places, and nothing beats this deal. They even have all-you-can-eat sushi for $16.99—which honestly feels illegal. I’m not sure the restaurant makes any profit at this point

I’ve been in the culinary industry since 2006. I’m not a fan of sushi places that don’t serve sushi. All the specialty rolls either had cooked fish or fake fish if not both. I literally could not find a single authentic specialty sushi roll that was made the right way. If that wasn’t bad enough the language barrier is infuriating. The guy at the front seemed fairly calm but when I was talking to him he had this cross-eyed expression like I had lobsters coming out of my ears and he couldn’t understand what I was saying, which he probably couldn’t… On top of that the female server that I got was even worse. It took me 5 minutes to get a clarification out of her on the quality of the teriyaki beef. Not sure if it was a miscommunication with language barrier, she didn’t know how to do her job, or of the food is literally that horrible, but I asked for teriyaki beef tender enough to the point where I don’t have to wrestle it off the fork and tear it apart like an animal, but I wanted it fully cooked up to temperature. They’re trying to sell me medium rare. Medium rare is fine for a regular steak I’ll eat that any day, but I don’t want medium rare beef teriyaki. Anyway she said that they couldn’t cook it all the way and make it tender… That tells me a few things. The first thing it tells me is that they don’t marinade the meat beforehand. The other thing it tells me is that they don’t know how to stop when the meat is done and end up over cooking it… Do not go here!

From the outside my wife and I thought this was going to be a small restaurant. Wow, were we surprised! Very nice inside!
The food was fantastic! For lunch we had tofu and edonome for appetizers; then my wife had a bento box and I had the seafood salad. My wife’s tempura was so light! Everything was delicious! We look forward to returning for the hibachi dinner next month. I highly recommend this restaurant!

First time dining at this restaurant. The portions were very generous and the food was full of flavor. Our waitress was very attentive and made sure to come by frequently to check if we needed anything else . Definitely worth coming back!

The atmosphere is a little stark, for lack of a better adjective. Nicer carpet would be a nice improvement, also, it can be really loud when they are doing the teppan meals, again, plush carpet would help with that, and maybe even some wall treatment. The men’s room has needed some attention for years, but I am told the women’s room is nice. Food wise, it’s the best sushi restaurant in this town.

WOW!! We were celebrating tonight (wedding and birthday) and had so much trouble finding a good vibe place after 8pm.
The staff here was fantastic- the food was insanely amazing – it came out quick – and there were tons of specials. I’m hooked!!!!
Definitely visit this place!!! Immediately!!

First time I have been here, just looking for something different. They offer a all you can eat lunch for $16.99 each, everyone in your party needs to participate. It was pretty good, I think the more you go the more you will know what to order. You have to eat everything the menu says or you are charged regular price for what is left.

Great service and delicious food. Server was very attentive to our needs and was readily available to assist. The food was superb! My partner and I had the seaweed salad, complementary miso soup and salad, the Fuji roll which was AMAZING!! 10/10 recommend!! For our main course we split the fillet mignon, scallop, and shrimp supper. My partner did mention that portions are a bit smaller than a “regular” hibachi restaurant. I particularly found it to be a perfect portion as we both had leftovers. I would say the chef could have been a tad more interactive with us— he did start off with a sake shot for those of us who are of age, he did play a game with us, and put on a decent show. Overall I would certainly recommend this eatery! <3

Did the all you can eat thing. 16.99, but the rice with the sushi is huge. They force me to eat the rice even I dont like. Wanted to order the fried shrimp, but again, it needs to come with cake that i dont like. Just feel no good for this all you can eat thing. You cant force me to eat the things I dont like. Food is ok, but left with dispointed
