Teppan Tora absolutely delivered! The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. The chefs were professional, polite, and very accommodating throughout our visit. The baked mussels were cooked perfectly — full of flavor and done just right. You can really taste the quality of the fish. Great atmosphere, great service, and an overall fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Chef Home went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment he arrived, we felt cared for, respected, and truly valued. The food was absolutely incredible—full of flavor, beautifully presented, and prepared with so much passion and excellence.
What made this experience even more special was the way he treated my baby, Genesis. As a mom, that meant everything to me. He was so patient, kind, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful toward her, making sure we were comfortable and at ease the entire time. That level of care is rare and speaks volumes about who he is as a person, not just as a chef.
You can tell Chef Home doesn’t just cook—he serves with heart. He creates an experience filled with warmth, professionalism, and love. We felt spoiled, honored, and incredibly grateful.
If you’re looking for someone who delivers exceptional food, outstanding service, and genuine human kindness, Chef Home is the one. We will absolutely remember this experience forever and recommend him without hesitation. ✨

I was so impressed by this spot — the aesthetic and branding are on point. Felt like a hidden gem here in Fresno. I tried the Tora Tostadas and the Omakase Box, and both were absolutely delicious — fresh, creative, and full of flavor. It’s great to have sushi of this quality right here in the Central Valley. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for an aesthetically pleasing sushi experience in Fresno!

Amazing quality fish, artfully made sushi, friendly and attentive service! This place is so underrated!!! Perfect for those who crave sushi that tastes more authentic and less fried and Americanized. Even the prices are super reasonable for such great quality.

Waited by the door even if I have reservations. There’s only 2 servers in the dine in area and even if it wasn’t too crowded, took awhile to get our orders. Our appetizer took a long time and we suspect our server forgot to place it in. We ordered the Seafood tower. After some time, the ice started melting and the food is floating on the melted water. We liked the Salmon Burrata, the appetizer that took a long time.

Came for Teppanyaki, made a reservation at 7pm and showed up early for the reservations. Upon arrival we waited at the door for 5 minutes before a single member from the staff even said a simple “hi welcome in we will be with you in a few minutes” (mind you this was after the sushi chefs and other staff stared at us at the host stand and just simply turned around and ignored, while not busy at all). Staff seem almost entirely disinterested to be there. Only somewhat good part about the service was the teppanyaki chef. Staff needs a little more training on how to welcome customers at the door, introduce themselves to a table, at least appear more interested in their job, and not move at the pace of a snail. (Coming from someone with 5+ years in the restaurant business).

David ( Jeremiah) was the best Teppanyaki chef I’ve had in a very long time if not the best. He was very personable, funny, find the menu I mean, and offered a new approach to Teppanyaki. he used to work at another local spot in the area and they must be fuming because he has to be one of the best assets to the team, not feeling guilty at all, giving him a tip in this economy he put on a show. Request him if you’re trying to have a great night in the 559.

I’m going to start off with how much I love the staff. My husband and I sit at the sushi bar every time we are always well taken care of and the food is always satisfying and delicious with good portion and nice flavor. My biggest complaint is that they switched to pink ginger it was almost enough to make us stop going, but I hate the thought of not supporting such a wonderful team over something so trivial.
