American Taste Vor über 20 Jahren wurde in Lotte bei Osnabrück das Tennessee Mountain Restaurant eröffnet. Ziel war es, ein typisch amerikanisches “Family-Restaurant”, wie man es auf dem Lande etwa in Tennessee findet, auch in Deutschland zu etablieren. Es folgten etliche Reisen gemeinsam mit Mitarbeitern aus Küche und Service in die USA, um mit den landestypischen Gerichten, der Einrichtung sowie dem Umgang mit den Gästen vertraut zu werden. Nach der damals noch sehr übersichtlichen Speisekarte ist mittlerweile das Angebot deutlich umfangreicher geworden. Aber wir legen immer noch besonderen Wert auf ein wirklich authentisches amerikanisches Geschmackserlebnis.

This ain’t America. The decor was really the most American thing about the place. The steak was mediocre, the burger was tasteless and soggy, serving sizes were small, and the service is far from American standard but not quite as bad as most European restaurants. It wasn’t horrible but I wouldn’t do it again.

The food was great, as was the atmosphere. Can’t call it Tennessee, but it definitely has a Southern feel to it. The server was outstanding and the food was timely. It was not very busy because it was during the week. Probably the best time to go. Be careful ordering the endless ribs, refills come as full slabs. The ribeye was perfect. Try it if you are in Germany.

This is by far my favorites restaurant in the whole world, been coming here for 20 years, and hopefully for another 30 if I live that long, the selection of food and standard is 100% spot on, you get the choice to have your meat cooked to your liking, but not just your meat, all food, the food and drink prices are very fair for what you get, not saying expensive, can’t wait to eat here again
