He was very accommodating for people who had allergies.
And my daughter who was 3 had a wonderful experience.
Mr Cham was so helpful and attentive to our needs.
Everything was on point
A special thank u to Manager Aziz for his prompt assistsnce too regarding our absent-mindedness.-:)
Thank u all once again for a memorable evening!
I was happy with the ambience and the view too… Overall it was a great food experience for me and I was on cloud 9. Great job guys guys!!
However:
1. Reservation was made 2 days prior and was apparently not logged in. I repeated and asked if I get a text, however they said it’s confirmed and there’s no other way of confirming. But I got to know when I called 30mins prior to reservation to let them know I’m running late, and they said there was no such reservation. Very disappointing.
2. Waited 10 mins after being seated to get attention and had to ask twice to get the menu. I get it, everyone gets busy but this was appalling.
3. Table mats were dirty, we saw the staff rushing to clean the table and maybe didn’t change the mats, not to the standards of a highly reputed hotel.
4. Sushi and Sashimi is amazing. Was our second visit to tenku, just for the sushi rolls and sashimi. Very good, however a third visit is questionable given the experience and service.
5. Waited literally 30 minutes for the Mochi dessert. And they brought the most dried out, hard, nasty tasting ball – almost tasted old and like it was in a fridge for a couple of days. Far from any mochi, it was more biscuit like (pic attached) – let’s not forget I waited 30 mins for that. Luckily the chef was out and I got him to taste it and he agreed that it was off, so thanks Chef for admitting and he said these were prepacked items from Japan and was shocked that it tasted off, and agreed it was unacceptable. And the second mochi dish came in less than 4mins – actual mochi this time.
6. Water was served in a cracked cup and was leaking on the table. Can happen, but it’s just another thing wrong during the visit.
Mr. Mangala, you’re an amazing gent. Apologetic and concerned, but there’s a lot of things that happened that are unacceptable. Junior waiters were very good. But I was far from being pleased especially for the price we have to pay.
Staff is really helpful and very attentive.
It was a weekday so very less crowd.
Good place for a Japanese cousin.
