It was my first time here with a group of 4 and the place was pretty empty on a saturday afternoon when we arrived. Everything was clean and looked pretty new. We ordered a few appitizers, bone broth soup, dry noodles and mala soup. Everything tasted great. Normally im not a huge fan of mala but this one was pretty good and wasn’t overly spicy. The service was good and they made sure to check up on us every few minutes. Would definitely return if im feeling soupy!

I was pretty hungry and decided to check out this noodle bowl place. From the moment you make it inside this tidy establisent you are greeted with smiles and a menu. I wasn’t sure what I was reading but I wanted to stay! (The menu does have English translation) I ordered the original brisket rice noodles and a green tea and waited at table.

First comes the tray of items you may be adding to your soup

Next comes the noodles and cooked brisket.

Finally the crazy big bowl of piping hot broth.

It was so much fun to just start throwing things in the broth. It was recommended to me to start with the condiments, then the noodles, then meat.

That brisket melted in my mouth! Oh my goodness. What a lovely bowl of flavor! I tried but I couldn’t finish it all so I took half home to my husband for him to enjoy. (It’s was really hard to save any brisket but I decided he needed to try it.)

I know if I am back in Elk Grove I will be stopping by. They give you a punch card to help me with those plans! 😉

I appreciate that our waitress was kind and explained their menu to my husband and I since this is our first time there. She even explained that they have peanuts in their dishes so please make sure to tell them if you have a peanut allergy. Went after lunch rush and before dinner so there was not a lot of people and it was nice and quiet. Tried the egg rolls, sticky chicken wings and beef shank dry noodle. Egg rolls were standard. The sticky chicken wings were crispy and had a robust garlic flavor…yum! When our beef shank dry noodle came out the beef was sitting on top and it was cold, but the noodles were hot. I’m not a fan of cold foods so we placed the noodles on top of the beef and waited a few minutes for beef to warm up. Wow…This noodle dish is definitely a must try. Absolutely loved this dish (forgot to take a picture when it first came out). It’s a big enough bowl so my husband and I shared it. Next time, I’m getting my own bowl.

Went to eat there about 3 PM. The place was empty so we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Ordered A14 – the Spicy Beef Brisket with Rice Noodles. Out waitress brought out a plate of items to add which included tofu, wood ear, lettuce, ham, green onion and raw egg and some other items hard to translate along with a separate plate filled with cooked beef brisket and a bowl of cooked noodles. A few minutes later she brought out a large bowl of boiling broth kept hot with fuel gel from underneath. I threw everything in starting with egg and dug in. The broth had a rich flavor, like it had been stewing for a long time and was just spicy enough without causing discomfort and not too salty either. I stirred everything up, grabbed a piece of beef brisket and shoved it in my mouth, preparing for a long chewing session. To my pleasant surprise, the brisket nearly melted in my mouth. Even the tendon was easy to consume. My SO had the dry noodle bowl that was also delicious but slightly lacking in cool cucumber to offset the spice.

Came here on Christmas eve and it was fairly empty. Got the dry noodles and my wife got the soup. This is a very authentic Chinese restaurant compared to the options around the area.

The dry noodles gives the right amount of mala. You can get a variety of meats to go with it depending on your preference. I went with the combo of pig ear, shank, and stomach with a side of their brisket. Needless to say, it was delicious and I ordered it again when I came back the next day.

Wife got the original soup and it came with a bunch of side dishes. Note: you would want to add the noodles last according to the people working there and what my wife says. The next day, she got the sour and spicy soup and it was way better than the original. Highly recommend the sour and spicy base (it’s yellow if you’re looking at the picture)

Overall, this is a great addition to elk Grove and I hope it continues to have success. You can definitely tell that their ingredients is higher quality and they care about the craft

We randomly visited this restaurant while in the area. The food was good and the experience was interesting. However, the service toward the end of our meal was disappointing. No one checked on us, and I had to go up to ask for to-go boxes. I was told they would help after finishing what they were doing, but the wait was long.

I ended up having to take my kids outside while my husband waited inside for about 20–30 minutes. He eventually had to go back up again to ask, and the person assisting seemed confused about what was needed.

Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the lack of attentiveness at the end really affected the experience. I wish the service were better, and I’m not sure we’d return.

Came back last Saturday and tried three more soups: C4 beef tripe hot pot rice noodle was delicious, recommended. A18 beef slice with kimchi was decent. Last one, A9, golden hot and sour was ok.

Nice, clean restaurant, friendly service, decent food. Currently have promotions going, recommended. The rice noodles were smooth and tasty. Tried two broth, the C3, pickled cabbages and fish, was creamy and delicious, recommended. The A14, spicy beef brisket was decent, at bit too spicy for myself, not sure if they have the option to adjust the spice level. It wasn’t asked during ordering. Will be back to try another items.

Our server was very friendly and made sure to come and check on us as we ate. It’s a 100+ degree day and it was 3pm so we were the only customers at that time. We like to try to go to food spots outside the normal rush hours so we’re not feeling rushed to eat.

Sticky chicken wings have a tons of flavor and the sweet and spice is perfect balance especially for those not really into spicy goods.

We tried the tomato beef brisket and the broth was good. I like tomato soup in general so I enjoyed it. The family also tried the regular beef brisket and meat on all of them was very tender which us great. Nothing worse than having to naw on tough meat.

Place was clean and for it being a hot day the temp was perfect I’d guess probably mid to low 70’s so perfect cool air whwn eating hot soup but not to cold where you wish you brought a jacket.

Mango pomelo sago dessert was perfect wrap to the dinner.

Definitely will be back.
