New ownership at Temari but it’s the same amazing Sushi! Got 1 Amazing Grace, 2 Baja (mango on it), and 2 Primo. Amazing and so good and fantastic service. In the past this place was only open a couple of hours for lunch and then after 4. Now it’s open all day. Same amazing sushi! More tables. Better service because sometimes you felt like you weee in the presence of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld.

Fast friendly service from the server to the sushi chef Andrew. Thank you Andrew for making it a great experience at the sushi bar! Found this place as RA “Sushi” restaurant missed the mark on so many levels. Quaint and unpretentious Temari is fresh and fast. Good sushii in arizona is hard to find!

At the chef’s recommendation I had the Amazing Grace Roll and the Hot & Saucy Roll. Both rolls were outstanding, but I have to give the edge to the Hot & Saucy Roll—it was my favorite of the two. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all top-notch. I highly recommend visiting during a less busy time, like a late weekday lunch, to truly enjoy the experience. I will definitely be back soon to explore more of their menu!”

My first time since new owners.

Pros: Food was great! Service was great as well. The flavor of the primo and hot & saucy roll was delicious! Fish tastes fresh as always. Prob the best rolls in town

Cons: I wish they still used masago as garnish for the rolls. The previous owner 86’d it a couple years ago. Prices continue to go up on some rolls and nigiri while size seems to be creeping towards smaller.

5 stars… delicious… try it.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday with lunch at Temari’s, and it was extremely memorable. The ambiance is traditional from the grey & red Kimono hanging from the ceiling to the storied tea cups on the wall inside a clear case. Temari’s is not a large space, but let’s call it a personable dining experience.
To your left, you will encounter the bar for saki, Sapporo & much more. Next, a sushi bar with 6/7 seats, then 5/6 open 4 tops. Hopefully, you will have Kei the friendly, efficient & thoughtful server. Kei does amazing work, describing the different plates, ingredients, and sauce as she sets them down. Now, for the reason you are all reading this review, the food! Oh, damm!!
So we started with the primo roll. This roll is fricken full of tastful orgasmic delights. If you are on the fence, get this. You will glide thru life after eating it. We moved onto the smoked salmon pepper roll, ahi tuna, and ended with the vegetable & shrimp tempura, side car’d with a sweet and fantastic tasting tempura sauce. The food has some of the best in the valley, who would have thought being so far from the sea. However, Temari has solved that problem with fresh daily deliveries. And for the finale, Kei brought out a cinnamon pastry, decorated with 1 candle & 3 edible flowers. It was delicious. Again, this place is 100% legit with top-notch service!

Was i sceptical.. Yes! Was i proven wrong.. ABSOLUTELY!! Now I will admit, we arrived 15 min before opening and there was already a line outside waiting for the doors to open. Now I know why! Edamame perfectly salted and tender. Miso, very tasty. Sushi was so fresh and being here from Maui, freshest ive tasted in a long time. Better than much “higher end” places around the valley. We also got the Shrimo roll and Plantaine roll. Both absolutely delicious. Again, we walked in with a line of people at opening and that line filled every seat in the place. After we were all seated there was the same amount of people patiently waiting to take each seat. Staff were extremely polite and efficient. HUGHKY recommend!!! Must try….

Spent $38.88 for 6 pieces of sushi and an order of teriyaki chicken that was $20 that consisted of mainly salad and one piece of chicken chopped up. I’d recommend spending your hard earned money elsewhere

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP—and it’s not good.
This place is not the same Temari everyone knew and loved. The rolls, while retaining the same names—don’t taste the same. The reason everyone went to Temari was because they served sushi rolls with all kinds of sauces and toppings. Now it’s like they are modest or minimal with sauces and toppings. Even the famous house salad dressing is not good. We’ve tried it now twice with the new owners and I can safely say we won’t be returning.
