My mom and her friend visited this restaurant and immediately returned home, vomiting. I suspect the culprit was the beans. We called the restaurant, and they acknowledged the symptoms. However, I can still smell the beans, and I believe they are old. As her son, I’m writing on her behalf. I have a highly sensitive stomach, and I can detect the sourness of the beans. I’ve noticed that many restaurants in El Paso reuse beans, which often leads to sourness.

I went with my husband today May 5 to eat to this little restaurant! The first thing I saw was a fly! I will show prove, the menu was not big but was enough to choose a good Mexican plate. We order some tacos and enchiladas Rojas. The plates were okay portion and taste 7 from 10. The waitress was very friendly and efficient! Food came fast and was enjoyable enough. I will try again another plate. The place is small but okay! Prices expensive for the food there is better restaurants and cheaper.

If you’re looking for a trendy atmosphere. Look elsewhere, if you’re looking for food affordable food, come here. Tejas cafe offers a variety of food with a small wait. 7 minutes. My mother got a club sandwich, my sister Huevos Rancheros, ( They serve breakfast all day.) I got the Ceviche Tostada. Loaded and delicious . Good if you want something on the smaller side. I recommend this place. Update.
Last two times, two times, excessively watery beans had the combo plate. Everything was decent but their beans and the enchiladas. The sauces were so bland, even canned had more flavor. Never getting enchiladas there again!

1st time here service is absolutely wonderful friendly the place is clean. Menudo was great but to much homony we will definitely stop by again and try a different plate next time we are in town.
