Very Honest Reviews
Delicious ramen shop located in the Japanese grocery store! Easy to miss. The store is located behind the Hanamaru Zakka and the art store. The ramen shop is located in the back of the store. Order at the counter and mostly self serve. They have a lot of different ramen and udon options. I got the original ramen and my friend got the udon. Consensus was to get the ramen. The ramen tasted amazing! Price was a bit expensive. The staff are nice, and the parking lot has lots of space.

Went in on a cold snowy day to slurp on some hot ramen. I asked for their most popular ramen and the person helping suggested their tonkotsu Ramen. I went with the same and got the ramen in like 5 minutes, extra hot as I had requested. It was a basic ramen with 2 seaweed papers, some daikon radish, ginger, semi boiled egg and exactly 2 pieces of chaushu pork. The broth was great, loved it, could have just had a bowl full of broth. I am used to the pork being soft and falling apart, this one was a little tough and the ramen noodles were usual. It was a very basic ramen and it filled me up. Sipping broth were the moments that I enjoyed.

Amidst the utter garbage in the surrounding area, this ramen spot and little market are a total gem. 10/10 would recommend, very tasty food and authentic delivery. I will be back over and over!

An amazing little ramen shop surprisingly inside a Japanese imported shop secluded behind a bank. Kinda hard to notice it unless looking for it but worth the venture. The ramen is amazing and I’m definitely coming for more next week

Great lil spot that has great Japanese ramen and udon. They also have a decent list of appetizers and other hot food. My go-to if I’m in the mood for Japanese cuisine.

My family and I really enjoy eating here. We’re never disappointed in the quality of the ramen. The ramen is reasonably priced and always fresh. I really like the attached Japanese grocery store. It’s literally one stop shopping if you don’t feel like cooking that night. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area

This place has been a classic of mine ever since I found it for the first time. The food is great and the service is amazing. They’re very fast with orders and you can taste the effort they put into it.
What made me write this review is how dedicated an employee was. I had just purchased some groceries and the cashier of the market area helped me place an order at Teinei Ya. I had finished my purchase at 11:00 and they’re already willing to serve me even though I wanted to give them 15 minutes extra to prepare.
They’ve also remodeled a shop next door to be a Japanese alcohol store so make sure you stop by there.
All in all, 5 stars is all I can give, though I wish I could give more.

A great hole in the wall location for Ramen. Haven’t sampled a lot of the menu but what I have had is good and consistent. The mart is also nice. You can pick up some odds and ends for the pantry and some good selection on asian theme snacks.

This is slowly becoming one of my favorite ramen shops on the island. I come all the way from Suffolk County to eat and shop here. When I was in Japan I was in heaven and the Japanese grocery store always brings back those pleasant memories.
The broth in the R1 Plus is amazing and tasty. I love this place.

Long wait. Tastes plain. Underserved portions. Disappointing considering the price range for the food. Please hire staff that care about what they are serving to customers.
