What a cute little find?! The atmosphere is adorned with cherry blossoms. The staff was very attentive and accommodating to my vegan diet. The chef went out of his way to make a special roll just for me. My family loved their food as well and recommend the Tan Tan Men. Great service and food! Highly recommend!

This was the absolute best Cabo restaurant we have been to. I had the teriyaki chicken which was excellent, my wife has the gyoza noodle dish which she loves. My son and his girlfriend both had excellent dishes – perfectly prepared and spiced. This was the absolute best Cabo restaurant we have been to. We went to Tei Sushi before going to the Artwalk. What a great little place. The ambiance was sweet, the staff attentive but didn’t hover, fresh blossoms sent a sweet scent wafting to our table! We loved it and will be back again!
I almost forgot – the food was superb, delicious and well plated to catch your eye and nose making your mouth water before the first bite. Excellent!!

The food was very delightful. Except the shrimp was old, mealy. A Disappointment!
Please use fresh shrimp and grill it with butter and garlic.
The noodle bowl was very very good
The pina colada and passion fruit margarita. Excellent. Lots of real fruit in the margarita!
Very attentive service. Thank you!
And they graciously turned down the thump-thump music from the speakers
The outside patio was so delightful with all the pink plum flowers.
But, flies and bees….. go to Walmart and get a dozen fly spinners. Instant fix.
I would recommend Tei to my friends!

During our brief two-day stay in San Jose, we chose this restaurant for our final meal. While the service was “okay”, the food took an unusually long time to arrive.
Starting with the appetizers, the octopus was not only pricey but also seemed like remnants from a previous meal. Odd tiny bits in a lot of sauce. The edamame portion was disappointingly small, with only nine pieces for our family of four, just enough for each of us to have two pieces. Not exactly worth the cost.
As for the ramen, it was merely average. I ordered the prawn skewer ramen, which featured tiny shrimp, while my son opted for the katsu ramen, which was decent. Despite a mix-up with my husband’s order and whatever he received turned out to be quite good fortunately. We also tried the teriyaki rib eye, but it was just mediocre, and expensive.
Overall, the long wait (about an hour and a half for our meals) despite the restaurant not being busy, was frustrating, especially given that the food didn’t live up to expectations. The manager was friendly, and the server seemed inexperienced, which contributed to the slow service.
On a positive note, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the location had a nice vibe. However, given our experience, we won’t be returning.

We saw this place during the Thursday art walk and decided to stop by. I am vegan and my boyfriend is not, so they were able to accommodate me. We were offered a free beer of corona before the super friendly hostess took us to seat! We shared the veggie gyoza, he ordered the Toriniku Chicken, and I was offered two vegan entrees of sushi and ramen. I took both options. Everything was extremely delicious! Our service was great. We had a very attentive second server who was there to serve our food and quickly collect our finished plates. I high recommend!

Sushi is really delicious if you’re willing to wait for a bit. The service is slow. It’s surprising because they have so much staff, however it felt like it took forever to get anything. We eat A LOT of sushi, and we have never been charged for ponzu sauce. I would recommend the restaurant to offer the spicy mayo and eel sauce as a complimentary option but not serve it unless the guest wants it. If they can’t afford to offer the ponzu complimentary, not wasting so much spicy mayo and eel sauce will save them money to be able to do so.

This restaurant is located in downtown in a nice spot. I would recommend the Sushis, but avoid the Yakimeshi (rice) that was average. The cheesecake of red fruits shown in the picture was tasty. The atmosphere was nice but music was too loud for me.

The chicken dumplings are fire. All of the rolls are made with soy paper which is a choice for sure, a choice we didn’t want to make. Our servers were super attentive. Will be coming back for the dumplings.

Funky atmosphere with fake cherry blossoms and grass on the ceiling but enjoyable meal and excellent service from Javier who was super friendly and spoke excellent English. The sushi was decent, and the catch-of-the-day fish is always the best way to go. The classic sashimi mackerel was fabulous. And the side of pickled peppers was good on everything. We were a little concerned at the beginning that they were burning really pungent incense when we came in…made us feel like they were trying to come up a bad smell of something. At our request they moved it and the rest of our meal was really good and there was nothing to worry about. Would go here again.
