Great place to go with family or out with friends or any occasion. I went out with my two kids and wife. Brandy where’s our waitress. She was very nice always seeing if we needed anything. great waitress. Food was amazing. I had the bison chili soup for the country I had bison brisket. There was a kids menu as well.

UPDATE: Went back to try again and had a great experience. Our server Haileigh was awesome. She was so attentive and knowing about the poor experience we had our first go round did all she could to make sure this time was great…and she succeeded. The food was good this time and the service was outstanding!!

nice day walking around the New England Air Museum, we decided to celebrate my birthday here. The first thing is that they have very nice people working here. But, I must say that I was disappointed by the food. I believe that the food was sub-par. For starters, the Bison Nachos were terrible. I could probably count the amount of grounded Bison that was on that plate. The Bison brisket was not the best I’ve ever had. It was more like a stew. The Bison ribs were good, the kids Bison burger was a little dry and the kids Bison steak looked like a beef patty. The mased potatoes were okay, the buttered carrots and fries were good. Sadly, this was not the best first-time experience that I was expecting.

Ted’s at Evergreen Walk in South Windsor is a good restaurant, especially if you have a lot of time on your hands and enjoy waiting. The first wait is when you walk in the door. I’ve been there many times and most of the time there isn’t a host to seat you. I’ve had go seek someone out to seat us more times than not. While I like playing hide and go seek with my grandson, I don’t necessarily want to do it at a restaurant.. With most of the restaurants I go to, there is a host present when you walk in, but that almost never happens at the Evergreen Teds! It’s not like you have to wait a couple minutes for one to show up, they just never do. After the first wait and you’re finally seated, there’s the second wait, for the waiter to show up. Maybe their customers should be called waiters, because they spend so much time waiting! We’ve sat for 20 minutes at times before someone acknowledged us. Yesterday my wife and I went to Ted’s, although apprehensive about the service. When we walked in, there were already people waiting who hadn’t seen a host yet and told us they had been waiting about 10 min. After waiting a significant while longer I went to find someone to seat us.. After a long search, I found a waiter and told him we were looking to be seated. I would have been better off talking to a bison burger, he didn’t seem to acknowledge what I was saying. We waited about 5 more minutes then left saying we were never going to come back. It’s too bad they don’t have it together because it’s a nice place to dine when the service is good, which is rare these days!

First time here this past week and we are still raving about how awesome it was! Awesome atmosphere that made us feel like we were out west, and the bison burgers were amazing. Also had the best waiter Jullian who helped us move inside when we were outside and it started raining. Will have to come back again!

Such a great restaurant! They have the best bison burgers I’ve had anywhere. Staff is always nice and apologetic if service is slow. Also try the onion rings with horseradish sauce, so good!
