I have been going to Ted’s Famous Kicking Chicken for 10+ years. I love the chicken. It has just a little heat in it. I usually get the “half chicken and fries.” It is really good. The fries have salt on them, so no ketchup is needed.

I’m new to the area, and me and my husband tried Ted’s Kickin Chicken out . We both was very disappointed. The food I ordered was the lower chicken which is a leg and a thigh and some fries, and my husband ordered ten wings. My chicken was so little and no flavor , and they charged a hefty price $36.95 .Will not be going back .

Service is decent. I dont mind to pay the cost of decent food in todays market. However the price for sure dont match food. Honestly any price would have been to much for the food.But you got paid and I’m not coming back. Folks just stop at any fast food place or buy you a microwave meal it will be better. The server was great but the food? Not worth the price at all. The chicken was small and practically tasteless. The coleslaw also tasted store bought and I’ve had much much better. Took a day trip to Wilkesboro from Hickory just to eat here! Chicken was so tender, juicy and delicious!! Chips and ranch were also great! It was worth the hour drive!
