My first visit to Middletown Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe. I ordered grilled beef served with Horseradish sauce, fruit cup (but my order mistakenly was entered as grilled vegetables – but they were delicious), Greek salad and a pita chip.
The beef was seasoned and grilled perfectly – I truly enjoyed the taste, texture and temperature. I think I’m still confused about the difference between Greek and Mediterranean salads (having thought Greek salad doesn’t have lettuce), but my Greek salad, with lettuce, was delicious. The nominal upcharge for the grilled vegetables was worth it because they were scrumptious. I was surprised by how delicious they were. The horseradish sauce was mild and a perfect complement to the savory beef. I enjoyed every single bite of my meal! I was disappointed when the plate was empty, for the pleasure had come to an end. And by the way, the sweet tea was perfect in ratio of sugar to tea, and it was refreshingly delicious! I was disappointed when I went for a refill only to discover there was none left, as it was 15 minutes before closing.
I was pleased I had decided to visit Taziki’s for dinner. Actually, I had looked at several other Greek restaurants to eat dinner but they all closed by 8:00 p.m., so I chose to eat at at Taziki’s because they were open until 9:00 p.m.
I felt welcomed by the restaurant’s atmosphere, and there is a delightful patio to enjoy outdoor dining if one desires.
My only complaint, and it’s a complaint I have with many restaurants over the last 15 to 20 years not just Taziki’s tonight, and that complaint is my displeasure by restaurant staff sweeping and putting chairs on tables 20 to 30 minutes before closing. Such activity does not necessarily need to leave me with a feeling of being rushed, but my temperament and personality tend to lead me to feel rushed and a bit uncomfortable; the early closing actions take away a bit from the dining pleasure when there is sweeping and cleaning activity going on around me. It seems to be a nearly ubiquitous activity in the industry anymore, but I don’t appreciate it. I suspect it’s a mixture of staff wanting to get out and go have fun or go home and owners not wanting to pay more than they have to for extra time after closing hour.
I live closer to the Taziki’s in St Matthews but I enjoyed my experience at the Middletown more than I do typically at the St Matthews location. I intend to return to Middletown because the meal was fabulous, and I found the staff to be helpful. When I inquired about the salad, although I detected a slight language barrier, the young man was prepared to get me a fruit cup until he helped me see and realize the grilled vegetables on the plate under the very appetizing in appearance beef that was calling me to devour it! I love vegetables, so I told the young man everything was fine and I didn’t need the fruit cup; with the grilled vegetables, the order was complete. Actually, I’m kind of glad it happened, because now I know the grilled vegetables at Taziki’s can be delicious!
I appreciate the cooks who prepared my meal wonderfully, as everything was delicious, and I appreciate the staff doing what they could to make my visit a pleasure.

It was the last place that my daughter and I shared many meals before her passing.
I absolutely love Mediterranean food and I’m so happy that I listened and went along with my daughter that day before work.

The veggies were fresh and flavorful, and the pita chips were really great. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly. The chicken was dry and not my favorite, so I’d probably skip that next time — but I’d come back and try something else.

Yum, yum, yum! The fresh grilled salmon, basmati rice, and Greek salad. I think I eat Taziki’s at least twice a week. The service is wonderful, and it’s not fast food. Your food will take a minute to cook because they are making it fresh (fresh being the keyword). So delicious. It is a wonderful, nutritious, and light meal that leaves you full and energized versus dragging. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything you choose, including the baklava. Highly recommend.

We spend roughly $34 at fast food chains to give you and idea of their good pricing. Oh. I had Lamb added to my salad too! The food was really good. We will be returning in the near future.

We ordered food for our family in store. It took over 45 minutes to get the order together. People who ordered after were receiving their orders sooner. No explanation, no attempt to make it right. We were told once they were working on it. Then once they didn’t know.
The only drink options were tea, lemonade, and Hi-C. Meanwhile, other people are coming in for online orders and they were not completed. We sat at a table to wait, which was dirty. The staff could have cared less and started telling people who came in an hour wait. There were only three orders placed in front of us. There’s no reason it took this long for such small portions and no drink options. We will take our patronage elsewhere.
Edit : Opened up the food when we got home. Three olives between two Greek salads. Almost no cheese. Really disappointed to have spent money on this meal.

Great atmosphere. The food is incredibly fresh! Recommend the chicken sandwich and chicken kabob feast. Salad was incredibly fresh and tasty! I will most be definitely coming back with my wife to this restaurant.
