We stopped in as we were out exploring the area before a Mariners afternoon game and saw their sidewalk sign and dropped in.

The manager greeted us and we sat at the window so we could watch the sights.

The menu had such great items but we went right for the oysters.

They served them fresh, named, and presented well. Of course we had Bloody Marys too that were spicy just like we love.

We look forward to going again!

It was a huge disappointment, especially given how high my expectations were. We arrived about an hour before closing, and it felt like the staff was already focused on cleaning and shutting down rather than serving guests. The servers were not attentive at all, and we waited a long time just to have our order taken.

We ordered the Taylor Shellfish dinner because it was recommended as a way to try a variety of items, but the portions were unbelievably small. literally one bite each. If the quality had been outstanding, I might have been okay, but the food itself was just meh and nothing special.

I really thought this place would be a highlight of my Seattle trip, but it ended up being a major letdown and not worth the time or money.

We had a great time exploring the neighborhood and eating at the same legendary spot visited by Anthony Bourdain. Even though we arrived very late, around 7:12 PM with closing at 8 PM, the staff was wonderful and took excellent care of us. We loved everything we ordered, including the geoduck served both in chimichurri and a fantastic chowder, a delicious prawn cocktail, and a crab poboy paired with truly awesome fries. While everything was great, the chowder and those unforgettable fries were definitely my favorites.

I travel to Seattle about twice a year and I plan a visit to Taylor Shellfish each time. The seafood is fantastic. The geo duck is the main draw for me. It is alway sweet and briny and refreshing and delicious. It’s a miracle. The bloody Mary is strong. Perfect. The service is stellar. I’ve only encounter a wonderful and informative crew here. I wish I had this restaurant in NYC. See you again.

The locals all told us if you want oysters go to Taylor Fish!! So we did! And they did not disappoint!
We went for happy hour where you get a good deal on the oysters. They have a full bar and a good beer selection. They make a delicious Bloody Mary!
Great service, food and atmosphere!

Wow! How fun is Taylors??? We snuck in at the end of happy hour and went to town!! The staff were the best part. We sat near James Dean from PA, who has worked there for some time. Out waitress was lovely and really rocked our service and her job. The atmosphere was great, simple and clean. The food was awesome. Cool to find out Taylor has their own oyster farm. Those oysters are delicious!!!! I just loved everything we ate. The French bread and butter was simple yes, I know, but off the hook! There was a wee bit of a salty finish to the crust which was divine when it comes to French bread and butter. If you find this or another Taylor’s it’s worth it!

This place was great. Had a group of 6 and the staff was accommodating. They were very knowledgeable and told us all about the local favorites and what is exclusive to the region. The chowder and oysters were our favorites.

TLDR: Eat here.

I stopped in based on local Reddit reviews. I sat by myself at the bar and had one of my best meals ever. I’m a junior high music teacher from the Arizona desert wanting to experience PNW seafood. This spot was a highlight to the end of a fantastic day. The food was tremendous. I asked for only a few raw oysters letting the staff choose. They chose wisely! I wanted the whole Dungeness crab and upgraded to the jumbo for an extra $10. For a teacher on vacation this price was well worth it. What a treat. The only thing better than the food was the service. Monica, Dana, Victor, and Canon were exceptional. One is an accomplished new roofer with a talented local trumpet playing father. 🙂 Thank you all for one of the best meals I’ve had anywhere. Take dibs on the sweater I may have left behind.

Yum! The pioneer square location is the only one with a fryer. Take advantage of the corkage fee- do a tasting at Browne beforehand & bring over a Cab Sauv Rosé or White blend. The fried oysters and oyster dip are MUSTs.

This place is so uniquely Seattle. Recommend oysters in months that end in ‘ber. Would be very fun to do a wines tasting & dinner here before a concert at Wamu.

Staff are chill. We loved Vanessa!
