Taxco is my goto restaurant when visiting Atlanta. Centrally located, easy access, and sufficient parking. Nice chips and salsa provided when perusing the menu. Our party selected 4 meals with tacos, burrito, (ground beef), chicken quesadilla, and chicken fajitas. All food was tasty and hot. Leftovers for the fajitas. Server was attentive and thorough, including refills. I will return for my next trip to Atlanta.

I speak a little bit of Spanish and they will take a little bit of time out of their day to understand and teach you names of things and how to pronounce the item…. We walked into the restaurant and were told to sit where we’d like. A waitress came to bring chips and salsa. My husband spoke and said hello, she did not respond. Then I said hello, she also didn’t respond. She placed the chips and salsa on the table, tossed the silverware and walked away. My husband and I got up and left instantly. We will not be returning to this environment. Extremely rude and inhospitable. Very disappointing because this was our first time going to the restaurant.

It’s been years since we have eaten here and it’s just as good as we remembered. Ordered lunch combos, everything was delicious and very reasonable prices. The carnita meat was the best. Chips were a little too thick for my preference buy it was great for the taco shell. Husband enjoyed the chips though.

Years ago, Taxco was delicious. I stopped going after whatever change they went through. I noticed a significant shift in the taste profile. Well, nothing has changed.
The service is mediocre. The inside smells like a wet dog, according to my little ones. The outside space is spartan with 1 of 3 TVs operational.
Now to the food. Average at best imho. The carne asada lacks any real flavor. You can tell there is no passion or zest going into the preparation.
I cannot in good conscious recommend any of my friends eat here. There are so many better options. A few just happen to be right down the street and others within reasonable driving distance. Save yourself an average culinary experience.

Definitely a smaller place in terms of size but my experience here was amazing! Staff was very friendly and it didn’t take too long for food to come out for my group. Really enjoyed the bean dip and arroz con pollo, they were quite tasty. My group also loved the chicken fajitas and chimichangas. Quantity was great and food was a very reasonable price. Would definitely come again.
