I absolutely love this place, have been coming here for years. I wanted to leave a review because besides just the food being immaculate, our service was extra incredible this time around. Mark was our server. He provided a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. He was on top of everything, our food came out on time, hot and delicious. And our drinks stayed filled the entire time. I usually don’t spend more than 45 minutes at a restaurant, but my friend and I ended up spending a couple hours here thanks to Mark being an incredible server. I will absolutely continue my dining experience here and whenever I come back, I will ask for Mark!

I love the super delicious arugula salad and spicy house-made pasta with the side of house-made sausages! The shareable crostini was super fresh with perfectly seasoned tomatoes. My partner and I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a wonderful evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home.
Every dish was bursting with authentic Italian flavors. We started with the Brussels sprouts, hands down the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked with a slight crunch on the outside, soft on the inside, not too sweet or burnt, truly addicting. The calamari was equally impressive: light, not too greasy, and beautifully balanced in flavor.
For our main courses, I enjoyed the creamy, rich pasta marsala while my partner had the lasagna della mamma. Both were outstanding. My partner, who’s Italian, even said it was healing her soul because it tasted just like the one her mom makes. We paired our meal with a crisp glass of sparkling rosé, and ended the night with their homemade tiramisu, which was the perfect finishing touch. You can really tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Overall, it was a memorable dining experience and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, soul-warming Italian cuisine and excellent service in the heart of Hillcrest!

We found it! Look no further! Authentic, Italian with class! If you haven’t been here… I urge you to take the trip! These folks do an amazing job! Classy, satisfying, and worth every penny! The amazing bursts Of flavor coming from these magnificent dishes is intense! The ambience is breathtaking! The staff is beyond friendly. Jeff and his team bring you an exquisite product and make the trip well worth it! The pasta is to die for! The appetizers are exquisite! Please… I urge you… You need to be here! Went here the other night, a tiny issue had arise. Everything was handled professionally & taken care of. Our server was a sweet old lady and she definitely gave me 5star “Nona vibes.” She was making sure we were comfortable and just honestly going out of her way & she didn’t even need to. Then we met the owner and Jeff’s an awesome guy. He comped our truffle fries (which by the way are delicious, highly recommend.) customer service was top tier. The food really does speak for itself. My Husband and I enjoyed it, we had a pressing engagement we had to get to so we only had time to order appetizers. However judging off the two starters that we ordered We can’t wait to come back to enjoy an actual entree from here. I already know it’s gonna be delicious. Clean, Old school Portraits on the wall , nice & relaxed atmosphere & To which I assume is “old Italia vibe.” I don’t drink alcohol ,but they have a wonderful selection of wine . Parking is available shared with other businesses in the plaza , of course there’s always street parking too. Anyways check this business out, Enjoy !

Let me tell you, I’ve fallen in love with Italian cuisine after all. The Arancini were absolutely delicious, and I’ll definitely be coming back just for that.
The bruschetta was a revelation. You could taste the freshness of the ingredients. And the salad? It was a masterpiece of fresh ingredients. The Insalata Di Rucola was a perfect combination of arugula, pistachios, and ricotta. It was like the chef knew my favorite food and had it all come together just right.
The Caesar salad’s dressing was the perfect amount and it tastes incredible.
The Polpette Di Manzo were tender and juicy, making me feel right at home.
The Pinsa Romana was a must-try. The dough was so fluffy and crispy, and the topping was simply divine. It’s no wonder the chef gets his flour all the way from Italy.
Ohhh, forgot my son enjoyed his cheese pizza ☺️
They also have a great selection of wines and beers.
The customer service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was so welcoming, They play Michael Bublé in the background. I can’t ask for more. I definitely plan on coming back again.

Come here every time we are in town! Best calamari in the area! The servers are very nice. They made a fresh tiramisu for us even after the closed the kitchen, we really appreciated it! The pesto is a must! Pizza also has good bread and it’s fresh. New server Luis was very nice and helpful with recommendations too.

Great pizzas, we had the pinsa roma which was light and packed with flavor. The pastas were tasty and really stood out from the field of San Diego Italian restaurants. The service was top notch and sweet with the kiddo. We will be making this a future staple for the family.
