We had a fantastic experience here. Family-owned and operated, the service was friendly, the food was fresh and delicious, and the view was unbelievable. Tender pork bursting with flavor, wonderful dolmades, and delicious homemade lemonade to wash it down.

There was truly no stress here! The seating area draped with vines was cozy and beautiful. Can’t recommend Taverna Zia highly enough. We loved it and will surely return someday.

This place has an absolutely beautiful view and a wonderful atmosphere. The people are friendly, the food is delicious, and the service is great. I had the pork steak, and it was very juicy and tasty. The only downside was that there were a few too many wasps, but otherwise, everything was perfect. Definitely a solid 5/5!

What an experience in this taverna! Charming atmosphere, excellent food and very nice place. I think my souvlaki was the best I’ve ever had in Greece, not just at Kos. Also they have a zucchini flower, not every taverna offers them. And the homemade bread was delicious! Highly reccomended while visiting Zia!

Tavernia Zia (No Stress) is a hidden gem high up in Zia. To get there you walk into a beautiful, colorful and very clean place with breathtaking views. You can buy local spices, alcohol, even a cookbook, but most importantly – you can enjoy delicious food.

The menu is short, but there’s something for everyone, and the atmosphere feels truly homely and welcoming. My slow roasted oven lamb was the most delicious dish I had during my stay on Kos – absolutely unforgettable!

What an amazing location! A lovely little quiet restaurant on the hills above Zia. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets and is definitely one of the prettiest and quiet restaurants. You have to walk a little further past most of the other locations to get to it. Food is simple but very high quality, the moussaka is brilliant and decent portions. Good range of drinks, including home made lemonade and cinnamon drinks. Service is excellent and couldn’t ask for anything more.

Calm atmosphere and nice view but there was nothing outstanding about the food. We had oven lamb and mousaka; both were served luke warm and lacking flavour. Also, it was quite uncomfortable and difficult to eat because of the many wasps flying on the plates.
We wouldn’t go back.

We absolutely loved it so much!!! The service was amazing and so friendly. The menu has a perfect size with amazing vegetarian options. All the ingredients are local and they even produce own olive oil, wines and vinegar. And they also bake their own bread – I fell in love with their olive bread. They even have a little shop where you can buy oil, vinegar or spices. A huge recommendation and definitely worth the little walk up the hill. Oh and try the homemade lemon cake! We’ll be back 🙂

Our visit to this taverna was an absolute highlight of our holiday on Kos. The name says it all – after spending an hour or two here, you’ll truly feel like you’ve had a complete stress reset. The food was rustic and delicious (we had the fish of the day and the stuffed peppers), and the service was very friendly and attentive. The lemons for our meals were picked fresh from the tree, and the walk through the small stone-carved house to the toilet gave us a glimpse into the kitchen, where the absolutely most delicious olive bread is baked. If you appreciate views and good food, make the short climb instead of eating down in the village. It’s worth it!

The hidden gem of Zia!

Away from the crowd with just a 5 minute walk from the main street, you’ll find this lovely stress free Taverna. The friendliest staff, the best food and a stunning view.

The olive bread is an absolute must have! Even our daughter who doesn’t like olives loved the bread and especially with the beetroot dip! The chicken souvlaki and especially the zucchini flowers are a culinary highlight as well.

After this tasty and stress free experience we cannot understand why people would stay in one of the way too crowded restaurants in the mainstreet…

Absolutely beautiful place with stunning views! Staff were very friendly and polite. Food made using some of their own ingredients which we saw them pick from the area. Food was delicious. Cinnamon drink and lemonade were both lovely. Would definitely recommend!
