We had an incredible dining experience at Taverna Veranda in Edgewater! I came here to celebrate my 30th birthday and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic—an ideal spot for both a date night and a special occasion.
The lobster pasta was the highlight of the night—rich, flavorful, and generously portioned with a great amount of lobster. We also tried the lamb chops and a few appetizers, and everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.
A big shoutout to our server Alonzo, who was amazing—he gave thoughtful, detailed descriptions of each dish and suggested excellent wine pairings that elevated the entire meal.
Highly recommend this place—exceptional food, warm ambiance, and top-notch service. Can’t wait to come back!

First, the customer service here was absolutely perfect. They all work together from the server, busser, food runner, to the general manager. Specifically, the general manager his customer service is how every manager should be when running any place. Very involved, very attentive, and very helpful. I dine out frequently, but the unity here felt different. So in general it was very impressive. As far as the food goes, off the bat go during happy hour, you save a few bucks and you beat the insane crowd. We went on a Friday and got there around 6pm. The place was completely empty and as we are eating and look back the entire restaurant was PACKED both inside/outside/bars/tables everywhere. Our favorites were, Buffalo cauliflower, hummus (my friends liked a lot), spicy feta, the sliders and chicken wings (my friends loved I don’t eat meat), lobster pasta, land lava cake. Personally, I think the brussel sprout salad description should be explained or written out better. I love Brussels sprouts but wasn’t a fan of the salad, it’s shredded Brussels sprouts as the base of the salad and not fully cooked the way I imagined it as potential toppings rather foundation. I love falafel so I had gotten the falafel salmon, it was good. The sides came with white rice and tomato’s… if I would get that entree again I would substitute both of those sides out and just eat the spicy broccoli I ordered (“spicy” because it had red pepper flakes). The lava cake with the pistachio ice cream was delicious (pro tip, I would totally get the ice cream on the side so you can eat the cake the best way and not waste any, you’ll see what I mean if you go and NOT do this lol). Also my friends kept getting the margaritas there! AND our favorite these days, free parking with a beautiful view of the city! The ambiance was 10/10!! Perfect for a date night for anyone.

A hidden gem in the Fort Lee-Edgewater area! We went on a whim for dinner on the outdoor patio, which offers beautiful views of the city skyline. The ambience was lively and upbeat, and the service was friendly and welcoming.
The food was delicious and nicely presented. I especially loved the grilled calamari appetizer and the salmon entrée — both cooked perfectly. The menu offers a great variety, so there’s something for everyone. Prices and portion sizes are reasonable for the area and the waterfront setting.
It’s a wonderful spot for outdoor dining in Edgewater, and I’d definitely recommend it. Bonus: they also have live music on some nights, which adds to the experience.

One of the best New Year celebrations of the year. The food was amazing—so delicious and generous that it’s hard to choose a favorite. Everything was fresh, served on time, and perfectly warm. The staff were very kind and professional, the view was beautiful, and the service was excellent. This is exactly the kind of restaurant that should exist.

This place can be a 5 but there has to be less of a push to get us out quickly. We spent 500 dollars and were there for one hour. The waiter had the check ready asking us if we needed anything else instead of offering us options
The waiter was on top of things, so were the helpers clearing the table. But the vibe was that we needed to order everything together, we weren’t given time to look at the menu. It was question after question as soon as we sat down. No time to think no time to look at the menu offerings. No recommendations. No time.
You could have slowed it down at multiple points, offered us coffee or a latte with our desert to extend our time by 15 minutes.
Your tables were not even all full to push us out.
I’m not saying I wouldn’t come back but it is not a place to go with your family if a slower night is what you were looking for.

Absolutely fantastic Greek food! We had an incredible dinner, and the grilled meats were the highlight. The lamb chops, rib eye, and skirt steak were all cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection, tender and juicy. But seriously, don’t skip the appetizers! The trio of dips was amazing, especially the spicy feta (Tyrokafteri), it was truly phenomenal and a must-try. A vibrant atmosphere and delicious food make this a must-come, must-enjoy place! Highly recommend.

As you know, I only recommend places that I’m 100% sure are fantastic.
On Saturday, October 25, a friend invited me to this spectacular restaurant, and I have to describe the whole experience starting from the entrance.
From the moment I stepped into the lobby — 10/10.
When the young woman who greeted me asked who I was meeting, I told her I was meeting a friend who was already there. She said, “Carmen,” and I thought, this is not just any pretty place.
I went to meet my friend at the bar, and as soon as I arrived the bartender greeted me — another 10/10. He began speaking English, but when he heard me speak Spanish he switched to Spanish right away. That completely won my heart — a true Caribbean, Spanish-speaking touch. I ordered a Lychee Martini, and it was 100/10.
Then the young woman serving our table came over, and at that moment I honestly felt like proposing to the restaurant — 1000/10!
There’s a difference between simply working and truly serving, and not everyone has that gift.
As a wine lover, I told my friend that we both love Cabernet Sauvignon. The waitress recommended a bottle, and when I asked whether it had been aged in wood or steel she said “wood.” My friend and I immediately agreed — that’s the one.
From then on, everything was pure magic. You know I fell in love all over again — my new love is called Tarvena Veranda.

In my opinion, this restaurant truly deserves five stars. The food was excellent—fresh, delicious, and served hot and on time. The portions were very generous, the staff were friendly and attentive, the view was beautiful, and the service was outstanding.
