I really wanted to find a dog friendly restaurant with a cute patio, so today we’re reviewing to Terna Costera in the Arts District.

As a reminder, I don’t get paid or comped for my reviews, so let’s get into it.

We came around 11:30 AM on a Sunday, and we had the patio all to ourselves. We started with the cucumber Mojito, which was nice and refreshing.

We shared the shrimp ceviche appetizer, which was OK, but it was missing a little something – maybe some jalapeños would’ve helped.

We were super excited to try the barbecue ribs and cornbread. Even though the ribs were really good, they came out cold, which was a bummer. The cornbread was super bland, but at least our pup really liked it.

Our pup also seemed to like his eggs, and I do like that you can buy one à la cart.

All in all, taverna does have a lot of potential, so we’re giving this one 3.5 out of five stars.

Food was excellent. Great prices for the portion that you get nowadays. The fries were hot. The hamburgers were great. The french fries were hot and crispy . The Hawaiian pizza flatbread was very good. It’s a thicker flat bread and when I would be used to but it tasted great. They have a happy hour menu which makes it even more affordable. The one thing I would say is the chairs I very uncomfortable and the tables were rocking a bit as they were unsteady. Service was great. The manager or chef came out to see if we enjoy our meal. The flat bread came out at least 10 minutes after that burgers so we weren’t able to eat together. The food was had and very good.

The restaurant is spacious and they have a patio and rooftop. They have a brunch menu but you can also order from the regular menu. I liked that they didn’t have loud blasting music during brunch.

From our group of five, only the person that order the steak & fries liked their meal. It was too greasy and average for the rest of us. I tried their mojito mocktail hoping for a refreshing drink but it tasted like syrup with water.

I don’t think I’d come back here to eat. Or maybe I’d just get an appetizer and water.

And they should buy new patio umbrellas since the ones they have are broken. We had to be seated in an uncomfortable bench in the corner to get some shade.

I was strolling around the area before a show and stumbled across Taverna.

I came in and was immediately greeted by Maddy who hooked me up with a delicious drink. I put an order in for the Ahi Tuna Wontons and Teri Burger sliders. Then Chef Chris came out personally and made sure I was satisfied with my order (I totes was).

Bounce (the musician) was playing 90’s jams on his guitar in the corner and I was vibing the whole time.

Overall, the entire team made sure I enjoyed myself and the food was fricken delightful. Honestly can’t wait to go back and try more.

Thanks for an awesome night guys!

Taverna Costera is a true local gem in the heart of the Downtown Vegas Arts District. The food is delicious, with an interesting menu that offers something for everyone. As great as the food and drinks are, it’s the atmosphere and community vibe that really set this place apart. Live music with local artists, community group gatherings, business group meetups, there is always something cool going on there.
Side note: the owner is a local musician and business advocate, whose generosity and support for local events has made a huge difference to the community. Love supporting good people who love our city!

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night during the First Friday event in the Arts District. We arrived at 5pm to a lively, friendly restaurant. The options for Vegan eaters are limited but you will find some things. I had the Hummus appetizer which was really delicious! My friend had the Brussel sprouts which she said were amazing! My drink was not really strong and the server was nice but slow and hard to locate at times. Despite this, the experience was very nice. They had live music in the form of a gentleman who played guitar and sang very well.

I would definitely recommend the restaurant and I will be returning.

If you’re seeking an extraordinary culinary experience accompanied by an inviting atmosphere, stunning artwork, and a friendly team, look no further than this establishment. Its seamless integration with a delightful coffee shop and the addition of live performances in their restaurant elevate the overall experience. Furthermore, the presence of an outdoor fireplace adds a touch of cozy charm. For those with dietary preferences, rest assured that they offer delectable vegan options.

Where do I begin? Taverna Costera exceeds all expectations when it comes to food and beverage. They are serving up some delicious, elevated coastal cuisine. I love that they offer a Hawaiian inspired menu. If you love Spam Musubi’s, I definitely recommend getting your hands on one (or two) of them.

If you’re looking for the perfect brunch spot for large groups, events, and more, this is the place for you. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and the colorful cocktails. The plating was exquisite and everything was super flavorful. I’m so glad that I got to meet both the owner and the chef; they are very hospitable and I absolutely love what they’re doing.

Next time you’re Downtown, make sure to check out Taverna Costera. Did I mention that they also have a beautiful rooftop area that they use at night?

*Must Read!* My new favorite restaurant in Las Vegas! Absolutely incredible. The food was amazing, but not just that, but the art and music too! I could never be able to say how much I appreciate good service, a delicious meal, and at a surprisingly super affordable price. The band, J and J, was amazing, and the staff was super attentive to our needs. Seriously a 10/10

What a great experience!!! Chris their new Chef has made some great changes and innovative changes to the menu!!!

When you read reviews of restaurants, it is almost understandable to think ‘what does this guy / gal know about food? ‘

I have worked in the restaurant industry for more than 30 years and the food here was beyond delicious – the blend of flavors from spice with acidity, to a blend of ‘a little of Hawaii’ to Las Vegas as my wife described it was unbelievable!

I have opened restaurants as a corporate chef and created menus from a blank piece of paper and Chris has done an amazing job here! It is a must check it out for dinner with friends and have a libation with it!

I suggest the Tapas items and share with your fiends and experience the menu that way if it is your first time to the restaurant.

Everyone there was super friendly and accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about the business!

This is a must visit if you categorize or describe yourself as a ‘foodie’

Great job Chris and many more successful days weeks and months of creativity and creating raving fans of the restaurant!
