This restaurant is located inside the Athens Central Market. The Central Market sells a wide variety of fresh seafood, rivaling the fish markets in my home country of Japan, and I believe the restaurant sources its ingredients from there. The staff, including the person who seemed to be the owner, were friendly and pleasant. Live Greek songs were playing in the restaurant, creating a nice atmosphere. We had moussaka, a typical Greek dish, and grilled squid, and both were very delicious. The grilled squid in particular was thicker than the squid in Japan, making it very tasty.

What an unexpected surprise! This restaurant is such a gem. We were in the mood for Mediterranean seafood and this restaurant did not disappoint! We ordered head sea beam fish, grilled mussels, and grilled calamari. Wow!! Everything was delectable!! Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. And prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended!

We realized everyone around us was local people enjoying their traditional food
Besides that, we truly appreciate the size of the dishes which were really abundant ones.
Every detail mattered, like the freshly baked oregano and olive oil bread to dip with our chilli feta cheese.
To finish, a nice platter of Greek yogurt with honey and cinnamon was given to have a nice sweet end.

Incredibly unique! After having the best grilled calamari of my life, I got to talking with the friendly staff about the fresh fish at the nearby market. I expressed interest in the school shark, which wasn’t on the menu, and he offered to have it delivered from the market and cook it for us! We ended up walking the 2 minutes to pick out the size we wanted, and he fried it for us. The amazing food, service, and atmosphere made it such a memorable experience.

One of our favorite experiences in Greece was stopping here. We were told to go here by a vendor in the market. We first ordered the grilled squid which was fantastic. We then spoke to a waiter about a curious cut of fish we saw in the market. The waiter informed us it was a cut of shark, and while they didn’t have it on the menu we could buy it at the market and he could have the chef prepare it for us! We got to try something new and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough.

-taste&quantity: we had kalamari, pork steak, fried zucchini tzatziki and wine. Everything fresh and super tasteful! Quite big portions as well.

Food had nothing to do with greek food!! Ordered soutzoukakia me patates, which in ment to be soft meatrolls in tomatosause, we got tiny hard meatballs in watery sause and potatoes where soft and oily. Could not eat that.

We arrived in Athens and my friend was on the hunt for fish. We went for dinner and had the bream and red mullet, which was amazing. We had a funny conversation with the waiter to find out if the red mullet was “fishy or meaty”!.
We went back today for lunch where we tried the shrimp and “little shoes”; another amazing meal. Met Aris himself. Absolutely lovely restaurant.

Very great pleace, the service was really kind, the food was really delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. Traditional greek food for good price. We had a really good time here, I recommend to try it if you stay in Athén and looking for excellent sea food.
