Hands down the best Italian food in Michigan City! We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Fettuccine Mediterrano. The Alfredo sauce is the best I’ve ever had. Pasta was perfectly cooked. The Fettuccine Mediterrano is exploding with flavor and the sauce with garlic, dill, and wine is INCREDIBLE! Cocktails are strong and unique. The bar vibes are immaculate! Great service all around. We will absolutely be back as regulars. Highly recommend Tavern on Twelve for the atmosphere, drinks, and service but the stand out here is truly the food! Amazing dining experience!

This is a hidden gem! We wandered in, needing dinner after shopping. I randomly picked a place, and we ended up here. We were not prepared for a dining experience like this! It’s got a cool, swanky vibe, low lighting, great cocktails and amazing service. Antonia made our experience great, and was so accommodating with my requests for sweetening up my drinks. The food was utterly incredible. We ordered the house bread and the meatballs for an appetizer – wow! I highly recommend! Our entrees were the pork tenderloin w/peas, a white wine sauce and potatoes, and the breaded chicken breast served over garlic mashed w/string beans. It was heaven. If you’re looking for a great Italian restaurant, this is it!

We first tried the meatballs 2 large delicious homemade delicious and perfect…not pictured as we devoured as an appetizer… they were 10/10. The Mediterranean Pasta with shrimp along with the Zuppa De Mar out of this world. Flavors & Freshness 10/10. Service by Rachel and Nicole superb! The owner Cindy even checked on us. Thank you so much! We recommend and be back! Woo hoo!

An absolutely amazing dining experience. I really can’t say enough about how incredible the food is. I ordered the Gorgonzola Stuffed Gnocchi and the Lamb Chops. The gnocchi was so light and delicious. Like little pillows. Best gnocchi I’ve ever had! The lamb chops were cooked to perfection with an incredible red wine sauce that complimented the dish perfectly. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered a lemon drop and a glass of the Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon and both were delicious! The atmosphere is casual and warm and so inviting. Service was superb. But the real star of the show is the food. The very best Michigan City has to offer when it comes to authentic homemade to order Italian cuisine! My compliments to the Chef!

We finally came to check out Tavern on Twelve. We sat at the very large bar and were greeted by the staff immediately. We ordered cucumber martinis, which were lovely, and split the chicken piccata. (Photo in review is a half portion, if you can believe it!) The piccata was perfect, and service was great, we will definitely be back soon to try more!

A couple of months ago 4 of us went in for dinner, we did not have reservations, we waited for the hostess when she finally arrived she seated us. We waited for someone to bring menus, while waiting a couple was seated at the table next to us, a waiter took their order, we were still waiting for menus, their drinks arrived, we tried to get the waiters attention must have had blinders on along with the other server in the room. Then the table next to us got their dinners, that’s when my son-in-law got up and went to get the hostess after a wait he came back and said we are leaving! On the way out I found a person to complain to, she said oh, I’m sorry. Weeks later my husband and friends went for dinner, the food was wonderful I had the salmon I was very pleased. So for my daughter’s birthday I wanted to take the family out to dinner, my son-in-law didn’t want to go after his last experience, however I did talk him into going. We made reservations for 7 of us. Our dinners arrived, I was decided the white fish, my daughter got the salmon, my son-in-law got steak, the others got pasta dishes, well I was very disappointed with the white fish! My son-in-law ordered steak medium rare and it was well done, I told him for $50 he should send it back! I tasted my daughter’s salmon and it was not nearly as good as the time when I had it. What this tells me is they do not have a regular chef. I should have listen to my son-in-law and gone somewhere else

My new favorite place! The food here is delicous. I had brucetta, calamari and the best gnocchi i have ever had. Ever. I look forward to trying several more options in the near future. The staff was terrific as well, welcoming and on point, they seemed geniunly happy to be there, which speaks volumes. I wish I had visited sooner!!

Went here for my bday! It did not disappoint! Lamp chops were delicious and my significant other sandwhich was also good! They did forget the peppers but still delicious! Was a great bday dinner and would like to come again to try there other items! They also have a full bar and can make pretty much anything!
