I was recently visiting the area from Oklahoma. Popped in for a quick beer with my girlfriend. Ended up having a couple more, plus wings (the Chiodi sauce is the real deal!) and a small pizza. Fantastic food and a comfortable atmosphere, but the star of the show was Mark, who was working behind the bar. Took great care of us, made us laugh, interacted with everyone and seemed to truly enjoy his work. I don’t know when I’ll get the chance to be up there again, but if I make it, I’ll be returning for sure!

I love that bar.. The only thing I wish I could change would be having more elbow room to walk around. I don’t blame them for it but you can’t walk around people at all between the bar and the tables. Otherwise, the atmosphere, people, drinks, food and music are always great every time we’re there. Of all the bars in our neighborhood this is probably one of my favorites even with the very little space in most of the bar. And it’s always nice and clean.

Tavern on the Edge is an all around great establishment. I am still a little tipsy from last night so I am inclined to make this review. Typically you can see me crushing craft brews here because there is always a great selection. Last night was a different experience. When I was looking into places to throw my class reunion, I stopped as soon as I found Tavern. For a very reasonable fee, you can order the finest Mexican food in Gloucester City and hammer bud light, Margaritas and Sangria for a few hours. This was perfect. We had a great turnout and the staff was on top of their game. Everyone was knowledgeable, fun, and quick to respond to our needs. Throw a big event here, you won’t be disappointed.

My grandpop always talked about this place and I finally got there to honor him on his birthday. Bowie the Legend. Anyway, the food and service were excellent! Loved everything I got. I’ll certainly be returning because I want to try the mussels and my grandmom said its homemade sauce that’s to die for.

Have come here a few times for lunch on a Friday. The food is usually pretty good but the wait is always sooo long. Last week my table waited over 45 minutes for some sandwiches and a burger. There were 3 other full tables and a few people at the bar.

The food was not your normal bar fare…
Bar food yes, but elevated to satisfy your palate.
To say I was surprised, is an understatement. And when you learn that this cozy little Irish Pub, was over 6 years in the making, you are shocked. The building was completely torn down, and built from the ground up is quite impressive.
This is a new joint, where you want everyone to know your name.
