Stumbled on this old time tavern on an afternoon ride that ended up taking 3 days. Awesome owner, fun and helpful crowd and great beer choices. The old wood working behind the bar is AMAZING. Just the kind of bar I always look for. I think a previous reviewer may be right, this could be the “best bar in the Adirondacks”!

Was visiting the area this past weekend. A group of 8 of us were looking for a local place for dinner on Sunday night. Tavern 16 was recommended to us. So glad we took this advise. The staff was so friendly and accomidating. The menu was small, but refreshingly full of a great mix of choices. I began with zuchini blossoms, (fabulous), then enjoyed my choice of a NY Strip steak, served with bacon wrapped asparagus and twice baked potato. My wife loved her broiled cod, which followed her stuffed jalopenos. Others in our group had a range of meals from salads to steaks led by apps of philly cheesesteak egg rolls to buffalo wontons. You can tell everything is made to order with plenty of TLC. If visiting Lake George, get away from the Village, and get to Tavern 16. You will be glad you did.

Awesome place to get a drink. Came in here at 10pm and had a blast singing and dancing with the 6 or 7 people in there. Great crowd that knows how to have a good time.
